Big Bang Theory beat American Idol in ratings last night. How INSANE is that???? Big Bang attracted 16.1 million viewers with 5.2 in the demo, while American Idol drew in 15.4 million viewers with 4.4 in the demo. That’s an all-time low for American Idol. I’m sure Idol‘s ratings will go up when they have fewer contestants, but for now they’re not doing so hot. I knew this day would come, just didn’t know it would be this soon…eleven seasons, man…that’s nothing. Haha.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Yeh, and just think about those tremendous salaries they’re paying out. A shirtless Steven Tyler doesn’t come cheap.

I don’t see the insanity. Big Bang Theory is great. American Idol is self-indulgent crap.

Big Bang Theory is awesome. I recently caught up with it by devouring the first four seasons in January. I DVR both it and Idol, but I always watch BBT first.

I think quality writing and acting beats (scripted) reality any day.

@JudgyWudgy – I wasn’t knocking Big Bang. I love that show, the insanity was more about Idol and the huge drop in numbers it’s been experiencing. No one used to come close to Idol back in the day, but times have changed for sure…

Oh how the mighty have fallen. Then again, is there any other show that demands its viewers put up with as much filler as Idol. They’ve had 11 episodes this season, and the title of the last recap on TvGasm (shameless plug!) was “Your Top 24.” It takes balls of steel to put on a TV that doesn’t ask you to commit to rooting for anyone until almost the halfway point of the season. The scary thing for fans of the show, is that as long as Fox is happy with how much money the show is generating they won’t make the slightest effort to fix anything.

Nads – I totally didn’t think you were. Unfortunately I know it’s insane, but I hate it. Because, well, I just hate American Idol.

American Idol feels like the Olympics on NBC to me. 30 minutes of filler and ‘back stories’ to every 5 minutes of sports.

@CannedGinger- at least the Olympics is once every two years (and I shamelessly love it). American Idol is all. year. round.

Yeah that’s cuz American Idol sucks. Season 1 was the only good season.

Just something for folks who are Sheldon and Leonard fans, and/or fans of the show..http://bigbangtheory.wikia.com/wiki/Sheldon_Leonard

Soft Kitty, Warm kitty, Little Ball of Fur..
    Happy Kitty, Sleepy Kitty.
    Purr, Purr, Purr.

I must say, I like that lullaby better. I think it is more comforting than the one where the bough breaks and the cradle falls and down came baby cradle and all.:>
