I was waiting to write about the hook as I knew there would be one for this season of Big Brother. People were saying it was going to be celebrities, other websites were saying that Evel Dick was going to be on, but alas, the truth has come out! This first ever winter edition of Big Brother will have it’s first-ever-all-single cast and the most Houseguests in Big Brother History. All of the singles (16 of them) are being told that they’re going to be matched up with their “soul mate”. They will literally either sink or swim whether it’s a match or they hate each other. The couples are dependent on each other for everything. So essentially, they’re going to have to play together as a married couple: sleep together, live together, hold Head of Household as a couple, and be nominated or evicted as a pair.

I’m so excited, I’m need to be institutionalized over Big Brother. The season starts next week! February 12th (9 PM ET/PT) on CBS

Here’s your link to check out the cast

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Big Brother’s beauty is in it’s simplicity. When will the producers realize every time they try to throw some gimmick in, it ends up sucking. “America’s Player”? “Summer of Secrets”? The annoying identical twins? All sucked ass.
After the disasterous “have and have nots” debacle in the Fiji season, Mark Burnet seems to have finally learned his lesson with “Survivor”. Alison Grodner, stop fucking up our show!

It will be interesting to say the least and a lot of drama. When I was in the UK they had a whole channel devoted to Big Brother, but it’s just not the same when you don’t have your own cast you’re married to, know what I mean? You are right about Survivor though…and the Big Brother thing…the themes do f*ck it up…

Well, well, well…it’s not quite true that all of the people in the house are not single…two of the HGs already “know” each other. They have pictures of each other hugging and chillin’ on a sofa on their myspace profiles. Not sure how you feel about spoilers here, so I won’t post names.

    That should read:

“it’s not quite true that all of the people in the house are single…”

Ive been watching Big Bro since the first season. Sadly I think last season was my last.

For the past few years I have noticed BB go towards the trend of “more drama, more sex, and more cookie-cutter personalites” as most other reality shows. I mean, what are the chances we will EVER see another “Bunky” “Chicken George” or “Marvin”??
I just cant stand that….and last season was the final straw with the Evil Dick and Danielle debacle. PLUS all the talk of producers changing outcomes of challenges, or diary room sessions. It’s just not the same anymore.

Im gonna have to sit this one out, and probably other seasons to come. which is sad because I really LOVED the show….it’s a shame they’ve changed it.
