It’s official! Billy Crystal is back to host the Oscars, and I’m totally okay with this choice. I know the show will be totally predictable now, but he’s still great and is an old pro. For God’s sake, anything will be good compared to last year!!!

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I was watching The View this morning. During Hot Topics they discussed Eddie Murphy’s decision to leave. Baba WaWa make a grand pronouncement that “Our Whoopi should host”!!! followed by a bunch of clapping and yeehawing…

Whoopi, who is so full of herself every min of every minute, responded ” I wouldn’t do it without Billy”..”no, they would have to bring in Billy, I would insist on it”..in that drawl she has when she is getting all high falutent..

I wasn’t sure whether she was just being honest saying that Billy Crystal would make her not suck so much because she can’t carry the show by herself, or she thought she was the Stah and was throwing Billy a job. The way she said it was kind of dismissive to Bily.

I love the fact that they announced that he got the Oscars after she was so Diva like this morning.

Whoopi hosted the Oscars at least four times and has stated since as early as March that she wanted to do it again, this time as co-hosts with Billy Crystal. Billy has hosted the Oscars more times than she has and the pair are good friends, working on projects together since the ’80′s, including philanthropic work for Comic Relief (along with Robin Williams) where they raised funds to combat homelessness.

Actually, there’s been a Whoopi/Billy Oscar Co-Host movement on Facebook since February. I didn’t post it above because I didn’t look at the dates of the posts and assumed it was something just created. Nope..

Interestingly enough, the page creators/fans wanted them to cohost the 2012 awards.

I know all about her and the Oscars and the charity and the blah blah..

I was just giving my opinion that she acted as if she was the Stah of the duo and she would never do it without him. As if he was second fiddle.

She was extremely rude suggesting that he would only be asked if she “insisted” on it. I watched this before it was announced that Billy Crystal would host and I thought to myself ” man, you sure do think alot about yourself Whoopi, Billy Crystal is funnier than you will ever be”. And I agree with myself.

They also have a facebook movement about whether America should call “ketchup” or “catsup”.
