Bobby Brown Says He Wasn’t The One That Got Whitney Hooked On Drugs

Matt Lauer did an interview with Bobby Brown, his fiancee and his three kids that’ll air on Wednesday and Thursday talking about Whitney and his past. Bobby told Matt he “didn’t get high”before he met Whitney. He told Matt that he feels terrible for being blamed for Whitney’s drug habit. He said, “I didn’t get high [on narcotics] before I met Whitney. I smoked weed, I drank the beer, but no, I wasn’t the one that got Whitney on drugs at all.” So either she got him on the drugs or they discovered them together…either way, it made them both spiral and they enabled each other.

Talking about his reality series, Being Bobby Brown, he said, “I think if anyone ever knew us, if anybody ever spent time around us instead of time lookin’ through the bubble.” After watching it he said, “We was able to see what other people were saying about us, you know? We was able to see that our drug use had affected our relationship, had affected the love that we felt for each other.”

It’s all really sad. That whole family is screwed up big time and they did it to themselves. They had it all and flushed it all away. A true Hollywood story.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

And their daughter is headed down the same road. Very sad, indeed.

I worked with a woman who knew of Whitney back in the day (as they say), and she was taking the hard stuff long before she met Bobby. She got HIM hooked.

That has to be tough to continuously be blamed for getting Whitney hooked on drugs if it was the other way around.

People are STILL blaming me for Paul Reubens’s downfall. I’m like, “I never even MET that guy!!”

    Haha, NWMTV!

I used to do drugs. Not crazy amounts of Whitney Houston drugs, but enough where it wasn’t recreational anymore. Then I started dating a guy who also did drugs. It’s just the way it works, and I don’t know if it mattered who started first. It’s like the Chris Rock bit…if you’re a crackhead, the only way it’s gonna work is if you date another crackhead.

When I came to my senses and realized neither of us would get better as a couple, I left. I sucked it up, moved in with my mom (UGHHHH) and got my shit together. 6 years later I’m not arguing over who got who into drugs.

Couldn’t have been me. Pee Wee could always afford classier theaters than I could get into!

I, too, have always assumed that it was Bobby who got Whitney hooked.

It really is a shame if it was the other way around. I realize that in the large scope, it doesn’t matter, except, millions and millions of people think bad thoughts about him because it. After seeing her cousin (aunt?) on Celebrity Apprentice I just decided that maybe her whole family was batshit crazy.

I stopped being a Whitney fan when she dissed Dolly Parton. There’s some things you just shouldn’t do. Like Molly Ringwald blowing off Bette Davis. Haven’t been able to watch either one of them since without sneering.

Wait, hang on, what did Ringwald do to Bette Davis?

Why believe anything he says? And, uh, great timing for this confession.

Wasn’t Bette Davis a huh-yooge bitch? That’s what I always heard anyway. I’m thinking Joan Crawford proportions here. And, do tell about Ringwald; it might be funny.

I always took Bobby and Whitney’s duet “We’ve got something in common” as a reference to a shared hobby of theirs. Of course it makes sense that it brought them together, not one introducing the other.

(Purchasing my ticket for the passage on the SS Hellboat now).

Bette had seen Molly in one of her early films and was really impressed. She invited her to tea to meet her. Molly decided at the last moment she didn’t want to waste the time on a has been. (Yeah Bette was a bitch and her fights with Crawford legendary)

Dolly and Whitney were going to be on the same talk show. Dolly contacted Whitney and asked if she would like to do a duet of “I will always love you”. Whitney asked “Why would I want to sing a duet of my number one song with you?” Dolly reminded Whitney that she had written it and it was also a number one song for Dolly. Whitney declined.
