Bravo has decided to shelf their new series The Love Broker for now, and THANK GOD for that! That poor show needs rehab in the worst way. The show drew in less than 500,000 viewers both weeks it’s aired, and when that happens Bravo usually moves time slots, but in this case they’re moving it to a new season. Ha! They’re trying to pretend like it didn’t happen. No reversies, Bravo!!! It did happen–you can’t roofie us viewers! We saw it, we’ll remember it, and now we’re going have to take a shower from it. You can try to hide bad, but at some point it’ll rear it’s ugly head again…

P.S. Who thought that show was a good idea to put on-air? We already have obnoxious Patty, we don’t need another wannabe trying to set up dates.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I actually kind of liked the show! I thought this matchmaker was better than Patty- I hate the mixer scenarios in MDM, it seems so forced and off-putting, I would never want to meet people like that. I liked this show in that Laurie tried to get to know each client and was interested in setting them up on one on ones that might actually work as opposed to hiding “testers” in the mixers. But who knows, I guess that doesn’t make for exciting television!

And then postponed until fall, and then postponed until winter, and then….

I like the show too! Damn. the chick actually seemed to listen to her clients and care about what they were saying. There was a moment in this weeks episode where you could see that the guy that was talking about his ex was doing everything he could not to cry and the matchmaker looked like she was about to cry for him. It was very endearing.
I’d watch this over MM any day!
Oh well. i wonder what they will put on in its place.

I’m with @whataboutmaura and @buffy in that I also liked this show. I actually was liking that they focus on the process of matchmaking, that the same guys would be coming back in subsequent weeks, rather than neat write-ups at the end of MM and we’d never see/hear from the millionaire again unless they brought in ratings (Stacy Kessler, anyone?). I think, though, that if the Bravo fans were looking for a Patty clone, then this show wasn’t going to be successful.

I’d also like to add that I’d trust a matchmaker that’s in a successful relationship to hook me up, as opposed to Patty, her stupid catch-phrases, and inability to sustain her relationship for more than five seconds.

Oh man, I liked it too. I love Patty, but this lady was more laid back and plus she actually has a husband and may know what she is talking about. (Not that i don’t think Patti does) I wanted to see what would happen with the awkward guy.!

I liked it too. This lady is likeable. Patti is a self-absorbed beyotch who thinks she can do no wrong. She insults people and thinks she’s above them. This one is a breath of fresh air. She acts like she actually wants to help them find love not like she’s doing them a big, fucking favor and insults them along the way. And, she had a cute husband.
