Bret Michaels told Parade.com that he’s meeting with Idol producers in a couple weeks to replace Simon.  He said, “I don’t know. We have a meeting in L.A. in a couple weeks and we’re going to sit down and talk. They did a poll and I think it was Madonna, P. Diddy, Howard Stern and myself, and I took 50% or 60% of the vote and that’s tremendous. I would love to be a judge on American Idol. I think I would bring a lot to the table…I’m not built exactly like Simon Cowell, but, at the same time, I respect what he did. But I would have to bring my own personality. I think if they have someone in there to try to imitate Simon, it would be a mistake; he’s an original. Bring Bret Michaels in to be original to who and what I am. Bring someone who can bring a little grit, true grit back to the show.”

I could actually see Bret on the judges panel for Idol, and think he’d be a great “get” for the show. I wish he’d replace Ellen, but you know that would never happen. I agree with Bret’s sentiments, he’s no Simon Cowell, but he certainly brings his own personality to the table. I think to bring a Simon-a-bee would be a mistake. And, out of the above celebs that Bret mentioned as possible replacements, Bret takes the cake. I love Madonna, and think she has serious street cred (and she’s an amazing musician), but she’s not as likable as Bret…

You know what’s amazing to me? It’s that Bret’s hospitalization has completely revamped his career. He’s gone from being a rock front man, to a reality star hooking up with God knows what, to being a poster child for inspiration. Not too shabby…I just want to know what’s under his hat, and bandana.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Gosh I would kill to see what’s under that bandanna! I don’t believe he had the brain hemorrhage, so conveniently before the finale of Celebrity Apprentice. I loved him back in the day, but its time to grow up Bret. He killed it for me with Rock of Love, he put himself on the level of Flava Flav. Do you really think he would be a good judge for AI? I don’t think he has enough music knowledge.
