bristol surgery

There has been speculation about Bristol Palin getting plastic surgery, and she did indeed have surgery, just not cosmetic. Brisol admit to having corrective jaw surgery after her stint on DWTS. She said (about the surgery), “it improved the way I look, but this surgery was necessary for medical reasons…so my jaw and teeth could properly realign. I don’t obsess over my face.”

People have been claiming she got lipo while she went in, but I doubt she did. When you get jaw surgery, your mouth is wired shut, so of course you’re bound to shed some pounds. So there you have it, it was all corrective. She sounds like my best friend explaining her nose job, “It was a deviated septum…I had to get a nose job to breathe.” Right…it’s called you have a big nose, honey.

I wish Mama Palin would have corrective jaw surgery, she could stand to get her jaw wired shut for a while.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Having someone close who had this surgery I can assure you that lipo can be done as part of it. My friend had corrective jaw surgery, jaw wired, and the doctor also did lipo to remove a double chin. Bristol probably did lose weight, but it looks to me like she also had lipo under her chin.

I knew someone who had corrective jaw surgery once, correcting an underbite. It did not look like this. This is an implant ala Carol Burnette. Actually looks pretty good, all things considered. Will probably move weird tho . . somehow those added things always reveal themselves when called upon to perform. That implant could easily absorb those little bits of double chin . . . I don’t think lipo would have been needed, but nothing would surprise me!

I don’t know anything about plastic surgery, corrective surgery, jaw alignment, deviated septums, chin implants, Bristol Palin’s unmarried uterus, or the Tea Party, but I knew this fat chick once who went in to get some fat sucked out of her ass, and she totally lied that she “needed” the surgery. Wait, I didn’t know her, she was a friend of a friend…. yeah, that was her.

So I can definitely say that Bristol has something done, and she probably didn’t need it, and that makes her a liar. And she still can’t dance for shit. (preface: I don’t know anything about dancing, either, but I’ve watched it on the TV.)

The best part is that they’ve now discovered that after liposuction the body just makes new fat cells (because it’s programmed to have a certai amount). Except the new fat grows back in really weird places, like the shoulders.

In her mother’s case (’cause you know Sarah’s done this too), the fat obviously grew back in her brain. No big deal for her, since her head was already empty.

This Bristol sure is shaping up to be a great role model, though.

Itchy, that’s true. My friend once had to style an A-list celebrity and hid his ‘turtle shell.’

I just saw pictures in profile of Bristol before and after, and the difference is even more pronounced….amazingly so. She either had her lower jaw broken and moved forward or had the chin implant and maybe both! It is a huge change, and I believe even more now that she had lipo under her chin for a more sculpted look.

As itchy was saying, if you gain weight after liposuction then the fat accumulates somewhere else. It’ll be interesting to see where hers goes.

Without starting a fight, could someone explain to me why Bristol is getting nasty comments about her surgery, while the same people seem to be supporting Chaz Bono on the recap side of things? Bristol says she needed her jawline reset. Chaz says he needed his breasts cut off. Both appear to the public as choices for how they view themselves. Yet Bristol gets insulted.

Frankly, I can’t imagine enduring unnecessary pain. I’ve had far too many required surgeries to ever volunteer for one.

@See-Jay, I’m going to put money on the new fat giving Bristol a neck that looks like a pack of franks. (see: Kimora Lee)

@cattyfan, I cannot speak for anyone else here, but what bothers ME is the fact that she can’t just own up to it and say she wanted to look better. Even Chaz will tell you he WANTED the surgeries. Not NEEDED. She’s lying. And Cher is fabulous, whereas Sarah is…well, you get the picture. If you don’t like someone, you most likely won’t like their children as well.

Hahaha, plastic surgery my ass. I don’t care if she wants to get plastic surgery (though she looked better before, IMO), but I agree with iamrufus that she should own up to the surgery and stop insulting our intelligence with this “medical reasons” BS.

Welp. Now that Bristol got her jawline reset we shouldn’t expect anymore unplanned pregnancies.

I don’t care if celebrities get work done, more power to them, but they should just be honest about it.

I don’t think anyone, celebrity or not, owes anyone an explanation of why they are in the hospital and for what reason. Health issue’s are private and nobody’s buisiness.

Funny, that was part of what got Star fired. Her not being honest about the medical procedures that amounted to her losing weight. Barbara Walters felt Star needed to tell the audience exactly the reason why she was losing weight even though it was clear that full disclosure made Star uncomfortable. As we all know, Barbara forced her hand.

The publicity on this girl makes me sick. So basically you get to succumb to the hormones, have sexy time, have a baby, and then speak to people about abstinence and your reward is 6 figures/year?

I must have gone wrong somewhere…

Catty my take is Chaz was born in the wrong body, he chose to remove his breasts in order to feel the same way on the outside as he did on the inside. Chaz never made excuses(as far as I know) wanting the surgery. Bristol on the other hand is making up reasons for getting her plastic surgery. If her jaw were so misaligned why hadn’t her parents corrected her jaw years ago? I know 2 people who have had jaw realignment surgery and neither of them had a totally different chin. Both has horrible overbites(they were siblings) and the only differences was they no longer looked like they could open beer bottles with their teeth anymore. I don’t understand why she is considered ‘famous’, I would love for someone to explain that to me. When I was in High School 9-10th the pregnant girls went to ‘Pregnant(Loser) Girl High’, they were talked about and made examples how not to bring shame to your family. When it got to be too many girls…….. they let the girls stay in school, but they lost all their friends(since NO ONES parents would go for that) and I would say about 85% of them were to ashamed to come back after their child was born. From my perspective its mainly people over the age of 35 have issues with Bristol, since until the 90′s teen pregnancy/unwed pregnancy was a huge no-no.

They don’t do jaw alignments on children. Doctors wait until people are 18 or older for that kind of thing. (Usually it’s done for TMJ.) None of you no for sure whether or not Bristol’s surgery was done for medical or cosmetic reasons. You’ve chosen to draw your own conclusion based on your dislike of her…and no other evidence.

As or Chaz, he is as muc of a media hound as anyone on the Palin family. He is making the rounds on all the talkshows, and I’m certainl there will be books to follow.

I don’t think either person’s surgery is worthy of making headlines.

catty I’ll give you that they are both whoring themselves out to anyone who will pay them to appear. IMO, if it were a corrective surgery we would have heard about it. We know EVERYTHING about the Palin’s never once have stated that Bristol required corrective jaw alignment. But, we have all known for years about Cher’s ‘gay daughter’. Honestly I could give a rats azz about either of them. I will probably never meet them in real life, nor would I want to;).

When I was in college, I had an “electric” typewriter. (It weighed a ton.) Because of its foibles I used a lot of whiteout. It’s a shame I can’t use whiteout on these posts…

And, yeah…it’s ironic that the comments on the news sites are unusually illiterate.

If her jaw was so misaligned that she needed surgery wouldn’t she have had a funky looking mouth or bite or something? I’ve never known anyone with this affliction. Her teeth look the same in both pictures. I don’t know about lipo it actually looks like she lost weight the old fashion way, but there’s definitely a chin implant in there. She may have had the alignment surgery but own up to the whole truth. If this was Chelsea Clinton when she was younger….on boy the Republicans would’ve been all over her. (Not justifying, of course) Oh, and she’s hardly a celebrity.

TMJ isn’t obvious when you look at someone. It is more in where the upper and lower jaw are hinged together. It usually is most obvious to the sufferer because their jaw will click in and out of place, and it causes pain…but it doesn’t usually show to other people. TMJ can be corrected surgically, or sometimes through braces on the teeth. Surgery is more reliable, as straightened teeth sometimes shift back causing the misalignment to recur.
