Sad news today, but Anderson Cooper’s talk show got canceled. So sad…after all the efforts they went through..going live, changing the format…it just never gained the traction it needed. The good news is we will have Anderson until Spring of 2013, but nothing beyond that for our Silver Fox (as far as daytime goes). I guess we’ll have Queen Latifah to look forward to…

Here’s a statement from WBTV and Anderson:

“We are extremely proud of Anderson and the show that he and the entire production team have produced.  While we made significant changes to the format, set and produced it live in its second season, the series will not be coming back for a third season in a marketplace that has become increasingly difficult to break through. We will continue to deliver top-quality shows throughout next summer.” – WBTVD spokesperson

“I am very proud of the work that our terrific staff has put into launching and sustaining our show for two seasons. I am also grateful to Telepictures for giving me the opportunity, and indebted to viewers, who have responded so positively. I look forward to doing more great shows this season, and though I’m sorry we won’t be continuing, I have truly enjoyed it.” Anderson Cooper

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I see enough of Jeff Probst on Survivor, I certainly won’t be watching his talk show. Also, if Anderson couldn’t make it how will screeching Bethany make it? She gets on my last nerve.

Hilarious that when this was announced the “Teresa Guidice Fan Club Members Who Insist She Can Do No Wrong” sent up cheers of glee because he pressed her for answers on his show and failed to show her “the respect” they feel she is due.

No other reason than Anderson failed to kiss Teresa’s butt, slobber all over her, and pretend she is the “star” she undoubtedly is NOT! Bad,bad Anderson Cooper!

    Idiots!

Um, @Katie, Anderson didn’t get cancelled because of Teresa, he got cancelled because his talk show is boring. Instead of trying to make it a news-style morning version of his CNN show, he should have embraced his mo-ness (like he did when co-hosting Live with Regis and Kelly) and totally camp it up and turn it into what Andy Cohen’s WWHL is at night. Sure, it would have been a niche audience, but he would have certainly gained higher ratings that way than trying to be \hard-hitting.\

He’s still got his CNN gig, AND he’s a fucking VANDERBILT. He’ll be fine.
