The Real Housewives are spreading like a bad VD these days. Miss Andy did say that Bravo isn’t doing anymore Housewives franchises after Miami, but he didn’t specify which country that applied to. A Canadian based company, Lark Productions, is casting for The Real Housewives of Toronto. The series won’t be shown in the U.S., and it’s only in the casting stage right now…but it’s nice to see the Canadians drink our Kool-Aid. Bravo will be raking it in off international rights once other countries jump on the band wagon. It’s such a simple concept, it’s brilliant. Crazy DOES speak all different languages!

I’d love to see them make The Real Housewives of Baghdad--there would be 6 housewives to each household. It would be like Sister Wives meets Let’s Make a Deal. Do it, Iraq!

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Gosh, Nads, I hope you don’t cause the insurgents in Iraq to become even more active by making that suggestion! :)

Gross. As a Canadian, I am truly ashamed. Some channel also tried to make a Canadian version of Jersey Shore, but I don’t think it went through. Nobody in Canada cares about tanning really, everybody is always pasty because winter lasts half the year, so I guess the very important T in the GTL factor was missing.

@georgiababe: the Canadian JS was called Lake Shore and I saw the trailer and it looked pretty awesome, in a ‘look we have a multicultural cast embarrassing themselves so no one can call foul’ sort of way. But they did have a Guido, to keep it authentic. Same accent and everything..and he was a construction worker. On second thought..maybe they casted based on stereotypes instead of the other way around, lol. Either way..I hope it finds it’s way stateside. Those folks looked crazy.

Hey georgiababe, fellow Canadian (non-Torontonian) here and I fully agree! I can’t watch the regular versions of this show and will not subject myself to this one…
