celebrity apprentice

NBC has decided to make the next season of Celebrity Apprentice two hours long! NBC sees it as a way to cut programming costs, but aren’t they concerned that no one watched the first edition of Celebrity Apprentice? I used to love the Apprentice, but it just got so monotonous to watch, the people weren’t interesting anymore, the tasks got old, etc, etc.

What surprised me even more was to read that NBC asked Mark Burnett to upsize the show. To what? Them sleeping and spooning each other in their twin beds?

Mark Burnett said, “Donald has always felt the boardrooms were too short, and I think he’s right…Right now, there’s really only about nine minutes of footage that we use and the boardroom (scenes) go on for hours sometimes. The problem has been trying to squeeze it all in. Every season we go through the struggle of cutting the show down. This wasn’t a sudden call…It really came from how strongly everyone felt about the show when we were shooting.”

I do agree with the above boardroom statement. I would love to see celebrities sell each other out; now that’s comedy! But I guess like every reality show, the success of the show depends on casting.

They haven’t set a premiere date yet, but the show could air as early as Feb. 8.

NBC hasn’t officially announced the cast yet, but the rumored cast is:

Andrew Dice Clay

Tom Green

Clint Black

Annie Duke – poker player

Claudia Jordan – Deal or No Deal briefcase model

Brian McKnight – R&B singer

Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins – TLC

Herschel Walker – retired NFL player

Natalie Gulbis – LPGA golfer

Scott Hamilton – former Skater

Khloe Kardashian

Joan Rivers

Melissa Rivers

Brande Roderick – actress

Dennis Rodman

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Playing fast and loose with the definition of “celebrity,” arent’t they…

Apparently Heather Mills wanted to be on the show…but only with a contract that guaranteed she would make it to the final two. LOL We see how that worked out for her.

I will start rooting for Dennis Rodman now. He’s far smarter than people think he is…very strategic.
