Chaz Bono has broken off his engagement with his fiancée, Jennifer Elia. Chaz’s rep told TMZ, “They leave this relationship with great love, respect and affection toward one another. No further amplification will be forthcoming and they ask that you respect their privacy at this time.”

They’ve been together since 1999. I wonder what happened? Did Jennifer realize that she didn’t want to be with a man, or did Chaz want a straight girl now that he’s a man? Either way, super sad. I hope they bounce back ok.

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

    Chaz doesn’t seem like a very nice person. I certainly wouldn’t want to spend anytime around him. Good for Jennifer.

    so is Chaz the only person that went on Dancing with the Stars and didnt lose any weight? I called this when I say that ‘Becoming Chaz’ documentary. I would figure it would be disturbing to start off a relationship with a lesbian and end up with a reverse ladyboy.

    I don’t think it’s fair to automatically assume the split was due to Chaz’ sex change operation. Maybe the relationship just ran its course.

    Maybe Chaz is just a douchebag, regardless of his bits.
    Just a vibe I get from him.
    That said, I would pay to watch a Chaz and Rosie O’Donnel(as a couple) reality show.

    I do think that his transgenderness had something to do with it…she’s a lesbian right? She doesn’t want to be with a man. Chaz adamantly declares his manship, ergo, the relationship could never have worked out anyway.
    And then Chaz just seems very disagreeable…just whiny and high-maintenance. He seemed that way on DWTS and on Celebrity Fit Club. Didn’t watch his documentary, but in the clip I saw, I was annoyed that her birthday present was a proposal. How arrogant is that? “Oh happy birthday, here take my hand in marriage because there’s no better gift out there”. He didn’t even get on a knee and really properly ask her; he just gave the ring to her, I guess with the unspoken understanding that he wanted to get married? Ugh.
    Girlfriend is out of his league anyway.

    She is soo lucky he gave it to her on her birthday. She can say it was a birthday gift instead of a gift in contemplation of a marriage!

    If it was as ambiguous as you describe, girlfriend get’s the ring.

    I was reading earlier interviews with them because I couldn’t figure out the whole “I had a girlfriend when I was a woman and now that I’m a man I still have the same girlfriend” thing.
    So, I found this article about them being on Larry King, and Jennifer is BIsexual and said on the show that she actually preferred Chaz as a man. But in the beginning his announcement to do the surgery made her break her sobriety because she was so weirded out. But then she got over it and realized he was hotter as a man. lolz
    But she also said that the feminine side of him was completely gone and she missed that. So I think that he became a raging asshole and that’s why it didn’t work out; not because of the surgery. He seems like a total D-bag to me.

    In the documentary he came across to me as more boring than douchey. I was glad he’d found love though, so this is disappointing.

    Maybe after a while apart they’ll change their minds.

    At that age and being together for that long it’s getting toward the point where they need to think about well who else am I going to find that’ll put up with me.
