ABC is providing Chaz with extra security while shooting Dancing With The Stars. He’s going to to get on-set and off-set security to protect him from the “crazies” out there that dislike Chaz. What is wrong with these people? It’s like they have nothing better to do than bug a post-op transexual. If I were Chaz, I’d pull my pants down, tug on my new weiner and swing it like I’m anointing people like the Pope.

Chaz, swing your ding-a-ling, and show ‘em who’s in charge!

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Um…I may be mistaken, but didn’t Chaz opt to not have any genital surgery at this time? On the show, “he” had his boobs removed and is getting male hormones, but as far as the privates go, “he” is still very much a female. Which irks a bit, considering the emphasis Chaz is putting on “his” being a guy now. Sorry, but a masectomy and facial hair does not a male make…

ABC admits there HAVE BEEN NO THREATS AGAINST Chaz, but are beefing up security anyway. This is a publicity stunt, pure and simple.

And Lucia…it doesn’t matter what Chaz does. The DNA still says female, and that’s what will be listed on the death certificate when the time comes.

I think Chaz is just sad to watch. It’s obvious that Sonny and Cher’s child is desperate to be as different from Mom as possible.

And I think it’s shame that Chaz is getting the spotlight instead of JR Martinez. Martinez is a real hero, not a desperate media hound who will do anything for attention.

She’ll have to send out a Weiner Alert. I’m sure the news agencies have a logo of some kind left over from the Anthony Weiner scandal. Maybe we can borrow it.

I thought it was funny when they asked him tonight about the relentless media on him! How awful it must be, they said.. He sighed a really big sigh and responded yes. Then he said he needs to focus on dancing.

May I remind him that he has been on every talk show and news program known to man lately? Yeah the media is nosy you when you show up at their door at 5 am for hair and make-up.

I was surprised that Kristen Cavslarri did so well. I think she is a ringer. She knows how to dance. I could have sworn Chynna Phillips did this before.. must have been someone just like her..the 80′s…ya know..:-)

He said in his documentary that he wouldn’t get a wiener until they perfected them. Um, you’ve seen a wiener, right? Cuz God hasn’t perfected them yet. How the hell is a doctor supposed to?

    @ cattyfan
Huh? They check DNA when you die? What state does that?
Do hermaphrodites get declared, “male”,”female”, or is “both” an option on the forms?

Why does it matter if Chaz is male or female? I really don’t understand why it bothers some people.

    @June Summer,

Have you forgotten where you are posting, dear? I can safely say that nobody here really cares what Chaz does or doesn’t do with his body or whether he is a male or female. Now, we did want to know about the peen, he has been putting it out there after all.. (poser)

I think what may bother some folks, as it does me, is that there is all this talk about death threats (I do not believe) and enhanced security because he has changed his sexuality. I am supposed to believe that Americans care so much about what Chaz Bono has between his legs that they are willing to collectively make death threats?

Please. Many folks before him decided this for themselves and they didn’t have the support system that he has. He isn’t a pioneer.

In my never have had a sex change operation, humble opinion, Chaz Bono has set it back a bit. Instead of focusing on the good things, like the fact he is the first transgender dancer and celebrating that, he is focusing on his security team and his concerns about safety. He is a drama queen, he got it honest, but he is. It isn’t all about him all the time.

I also think that maybe some folks don’t understand why Chaz Bono is getting all the attention when we have a real live war hero dancing.

@June Summer I don’t either. Maybe by the time babies being born now are grown up people will just think of it as another boring birth defect that you get fixed and the March of Dimes will help people who can’t afford it and nobody will have to wait till they’re 40 to fix it.

That was the saddest part of the documentary, when she said that about how he won’t ever get to be a young man. He’s already married and responsible and stuff.

He won’t ever get to be slutty or make bad choices like buying speakers instead of paying the rent or go on Spring Break in Florida and catch an STD.

Did anyone think maybe the beefed up security was because the show unleashed the unholy sight of Nancy Grace’s cleavage on America without warning? Some things once seen cannot be unseen, Nancy.

As for JR, I think (hope) he won over enough fans with his natural charm, good humor and surprisingly good dancing.

I absolutely believe that there would be death threats against Chaz. Maybe there haven’t been yet, but I don’t think it’s unfathomable. Hello, the DIXIE CHICKS got death threats and all they did was insult the President. Not exactly a crazy thing to do.

I don’t think that it’s fair that Chaz is getting all of the attention, but this is the US. Haven’t you noticed that the media is OBSESSED with sex, sexual identity etc. etc. Of course they were going to ham it up. And ABC encouraged it to get ratings.

I don’t think Chaz is a drama queen, really, I totally respect the fact that he went through something extremely difficult and is willing to share it with people. I think it’s good that he’s so out there, actually, it gives kids like him a chance to see somebody that is like them on television. Most transgendered people are either on shows that are inappropriate for kids/teenagers or they’re used as a joke.

And Lucia, your physical sex has nothing to do with your gender identity. You are – as so many people are – clearly woefully ignorant about the differentiation between the two. It doesn’t matter if Chaz has had any surgery, gender identity is different. Some transgendered people have to wait years for surgery, that doesn’t make their gender identity any different. Surgery is not about changing gender, it’s about making the sex organs match the gender.

@Robinez You’re right twice. First that he’s not a pioneer like Christine Jorgenson was but because he’s the 1st person who was famous even before he ever got any treatment and also the 1st one lots of people ever heard of who was raised as a girl.

Specially older people who’ve learned about the whole subject because his mom was so famous and popular with that generation which is actually good because they will influence the younger ones.

You’re also right about all the people who never got famous, or had any publicity. Lots of them probably could have sold their stories but didn’t for safety reasons.

@georgiababe You’re right too. Even if Dancing With The Stars announcing about his security is a publicity stunt (which btw I totally think it is) I also bet that he has security he doesn’t announce even when he’s not on Dancing With The Stars. If he didn’t I’d think he wasn’t being responsible.

I’ve heard people say nasty things about him out loud in the Wal-Mart. Most of them probably wouldn’t really do anything or death threats but you have to think of safety and not just transgender people. There are people that don’t like gay people, some have their list of ethnic groups, and kids in school that get bullied just because of their fashion style or their body type. Or like with the Dixie Chicks where it was just an opinion.

That turned into a sermon. I’m sorry. The positive part is that no matter what group we’re in, if we’re not famous we just have to use common sense about where we go and treat our opinions like jewelry.

Flipitsaz…..”"He said in his documentary that he wouldn’t get a wiener until they perfected them. Um, you’ve seen a wiener, right? Cuz God hasn’t perfected them yet. How the hell is a doctor supposed to?”"
Well the Doc could start by adding batteries and making it a smidge longer and thicker. Then one of those extra rotating appendeges toward the end……

^ I cannot stop laughing right now. Can you imagine preparing for sexy time and your partner whipping that out? The only way it could be better is if it lit up to the tune of jingle bells.

    What georgiababe said.

In addition, ABC asked Chaz to be on the show for one reason only, and that is RATINGS. So now they’re hamming it up, what else do you expect? I also respect what Chaz has done and think he makes a pretty cute boy, actually. I am VERY glad he’s not a totally awful dancer…that would have been bad. But now that I think of it, ABC probably made sure he wasn’t, they want him on as looooooong as possible.

I admit that I didn’t know who JR was, but now that I do I also wish he would be getting more publicity. But again, this is America, and the public is, unfortunately, much more concerned with what is in between Chaz’s legs. Pretty sad, actually.

June Summer…when a person dies the medical examiner doesn’t just look at the external features to determine if the body is male or female. When it’s discovered during the autopsy or exam that the person has changed gender, the original gender is what is recorded on the death certificate.

Hermaphrodites are rare, and I don’t know how that is handled.
