Remember a while back they announced that Clint Eastwood’s family was shooting a reality pilot for E!? Well, it got the green light. E! has ordered 10 episodes following Clint’s wife, Dina and his daughters Morgan and Francesca. As for Clint appearing on the show, Dina said, ”I know my limitations with Clint so I don’t push him too hard.” I’m sure he’ll make an appearance or two, but I’m sure he said yes to shut his wife up–unless he’s that whipped that he’ll agree to anything.

I think the best part of the series is going to be following Dina’s career. She manages a cappella group from South Africa, and they’ve all moved in with her. E! News reports that Dina is hoping to launch their careers on the show…I love the excuses that people make for being on reality. Pretty hilarious. Why don’t people just cop to the real reason they want to be on a reality show? They have personality disorders and have a need for attention. No more excuses! They’re starting to sound like homeless men on street corners carrying signs that read “Will work for food, can’t find a job…” Just tell me why you really want money!!!! You need to buy another handle of Jack. No shame in being honest!

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

It is so sad for a real star to grow old and helpless. It’s one thing to try to hold on to youth by marrying a very young person, but to have the young spouse call the shots that lead to the star’s humiliation is quite another.

That was hard to write without being gender specific. We all know they all have the potential to be there. Yes, Demi.

Dina used to be really nice. I went to high school down on the Monterey Peninsula and volunteered at a couple of events hosted by the Eastwoods. This was right after they were married and Dina was still a news caster on a local news station. Then, this past fall, I was dinning down in Pebble Beach with family. At the large table next to us, there was this obnoxious girl with her family. She reminded me of the oldest daughter from Modern Family, but on an exaggerated scale. She was loud, full of herself and wanted everyone in the place to know how important she was. She kept calling this gentleman with his back to us, Grandpa, then laughing really loudly after she did. When they finally got up to leave, she walked over to ‘grandpa’ and said, “Thanks for dinner dad.” We finally could see who it was, and it turns out it was Clint, Dina, some other family members and the annoying girl was their daughter. My guess is that the daughter thinks this show is going to catapult her to fame, a la the kardashians.

Oh dear. That is so sad. Thank you Carol for setting the record straight from a first-hand perspective.

It is really easy to blame trouble on the “gold digging’ young spouse, and I am guilty. Still, getting into a reality series is a tragic way for a big star and important person in his community to go out. Not that he’s ready.

If it’s the daughter behind it then the mother AND Clint have to share the blame for raising such a little monster. Must have been some serious neglect of The Things That Matter. Still so sad.

I just found the website of the group Dina ‘manages’.

    http://www.overtoneband.com/Home_Page.html

Wow, they look very special, and not in the good way. They might be great singers (I have never heard the Invictus soundtrack) but they are all made for radio not tv. Maybe they are using Dina and the Eastwood name to get more fame.

I still think it was Dina & Clint’s daughter that really pushed for the show after what I saw last fall. The only good thing about this show, it is basically offering itself up with a huge side of snark even before it starts airing.

HAHA “The band can also play with instruments!” haha.

The pic of the band is funny, the lighting on the guy closest to the camera makes it look as though his head is not attached to his body.
Looks like yet another E! family Reality show i won’t be watching.
