NBC promised us Community and Whitney on October 19th, but things have changed…They have put them on hold for now because their new series are doing so well. An NBC spokesperson said, “Given the success we’ve had for the past four weeks – including winning the first week of the season in [the] A18-49 [demographic] – we’ve decided to continue to concentrate our promotional strength on our new NBC shows that are scheduled Monday through Wednesday and have therefore decided to hold COMMUNITY and WHITNEY from their previously announced premieres of October 19th. Without having to launch these comedies on Friday at this time, we can keep our promotion focused on earlier in the week — plus we will have both comedies in our back pocket if we need to make any schedule changes on those nights. When we have a better idea of viewing patterns in the next few weeks,  we will announce new season premieres of Whitney and Community.”

I guess they were anticipating more failures! That’s good for the network! That never happens.

Honestly, I could care less about Whitney, but am anxious for Community to return. I don’t know how much longer that show can go on, so I’m just savoring the moment like a crazy stalker…no big deal. I might want to wear Chevy Chase’s skin to my birthday party. Is that weird?

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I want Community back! Maybe now they’ll put it on a better day than Friday? Not bloody likely, though.

They’d better not take Community away from me! Last season had some of the best episodes of the whole series. This show is far from done, stupid NBC!

How could they put Community and Shit Whitney in the same back pocket? Now that they have some momentum, why not stick Community right in the middle of all the “success”?

Why all the hatin’ on Whitney? I think that show is so hilarious. Or maybe I just see too much of myself in her…which is probably why I’m still single and living alone with dogs. They rarely smart off or irritate me like humans do. Still, her hatred of baby showers and anything grossly romantic is fantastic.
