Ugh, I was so sad to read that Cougar Town slipped even lower in ratings this week. It got 4.5 million viewers overall and 1.7 in their demo. That’s worst that some cable shows and it makes me so sad. It’s lead-in Last Man Standing got 7.5 million viewers with 2.2 in the demo…that means people are turning the tube off for our little show about drinking wine. Hopefully ABC won’t kill it. I want my best friend to have a job still, OH and the show has finally found it’s legs. Here’s to next week…

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

@Classy Drunk – the overnight ratings don’t count DVR or web…i hope those numbers are big and they see value in the show. such a bummer!

Wow..I was wondering about the same thing. I don’t get to see many of my favorite shows the first time around, so I rely on the network’s website (or Hulu) for viewing. I was hoping this counted towards the ratings…heck, the fact that I’m up at midnight watching Community means a whole lot! lol

This just tells me the Nielsen ratings system is skewed…not everyone can watch a show the first go around and this should not be an indicator of its (un)popularity.

It’s no coincidence that the highest rated shows are on CBS which is mainly watched by old people who have nothing better to do than watch TV. Let us in the 18-49 demo have a life! We’ll watch our shows when we get around to it. Doesn’t mean we like them any less. Just means we’re not retired, sitting in recliners, wearing Snuggies. If that were the case, Firefly would’ve never been canceled.

Sarcasatire: “we’re not retired, sitting in recliners, wearing Snuggies.” It’s even worse. My 80+ grandmother was so excited about being a Nielson subject. She turned the tv on in the morning and it hummed away all day while she did her chores and ran her errands. Same channel. She didn’t really like tv, but it kept her company. And they vote, too.

that’s a shame, it’s such a funny show. It was perfect following modern family, but I think 8:30 is WAY too early for Cougartown. Also, it’s not a show for the same people as last man standing, they are entirely different audiences.

I hope that the dvr and web numbers are big. The only thing I watch live are sports and Jersey Shore. (don’t judge…it’s lent season)
