I’ve been sitting on my butt all day and not opening my computer until I get this thanks to cattyfan! ;-)

David Archuleta’s dad has been banned from rehearsals on Idol! Jeff Archuleta, David’s Dad, was told by the producers of the show that “he can no longer join his 17-year-old son David as he prepares for the show.” Good!!! He’s only 17 and does not need any more pressure from his dumb stage dad.

I’m so excited for this next two weeks of Idol I can hardly contain myself, no joke. Have a good weekend, and a Happy Mother’s Day for all you Moms!!!

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Apparently Dear Old Dad pulled the same crap when Davey was on Star Search…going so far as to harrass by phone a 12 year-old girl (calling her with threats in the middle of the night.) The producers allowed Dad only at performances, and he had to sit with security. What a creep.

I have two words for The Fetus: Emancipated Minor.

That poor kid. Honestly. I hope he takes his success and cuts the cord so that he can finally stop being Daddy’s puppet.

It was reported today that “producers made their decision after Jeff Archuleta’s decision to change lyrics of a song his son performed Tues night resulted in the program’s incurring additional music clearance costs.”

Just how does changing lyrics incur further clearance costs?!

Irrespective of whether Fetus’ allegedly overbearing Dad should be backstage or not–

    I call shenanigans!

At his dad’s insistance, and after having been told by the producers not to, The Fetus incorporated the lyrics from another song into Stand By Me.

The show then has to pay because of the copyright on the song…and the fact that they didn’t have permission to use that song.
