David Cook on snl

David Cook is going to be the first idol to be a musical guest on SNL. I swear it’s not an SNL day, it’s just relevant. His big day is November 1st and he’s going on to promote his new self-titled album. I’m excited that an idol is going to be on SNL, but I just wish it wasn’t David Cook.

He can totally redeem himself if he can de-douchifiy a bit.

Correction: He’s going to be the fourth idol to be a musical guest. I read the press release wrong, Thanks leenie for catching it ;-)

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I’m pretty sure Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood have both been on SNL as musical guests…did you mean to say he’s going to host? Or am I just a big douchebag who read it wrong?

No, he’s going to be a musical guest. I need to make a correction…he’s the fourth idol. I’m going to make a retraction right now. ;-)

I LOVE Cook! Seriously, read the recaps for AI this past year – everybody on the planet knows it by now.

And Cook is NOT a douche. If you’ve seen the interaction he has with his fans and his family…

Onstage, yeah, he’s a cocky rocker. But that’s his JOB. I mean, how lame would it be if all rockstars came out and acted really shy and meek?

I know you love him georgiababe. I just feel like he’s gotten cocky, and I’ve seen him out and about and it wasn’t the same Cook I loved on Idol. I think he’s gotten affected a bit, but I guess that goes with the territory, right?

Who knows?? Hopefully, he’s grounded himself a bit since his big win. And, I’m sure he’ll do great on SNL, he’s a pro!
