Dennis Hopper is set to star in Crash, the first original drama series from Starz Entertainment, based on the Academy Award®-winning Best Picture. This is exciting news! Starz has really vamped up their programming these past two years.

Now, here is what I think about the movie Crash and it becoming a television series…

When I first saw Crash, I left the theater confused whether I liked it or not because it got so dark. Then at times I would say, “wow, it was so amazing and the way it was shot and pieced together was unlike anything I’ve seen…it was so deep” But, at other times, when I would get on my “the media is just trying to shove things down our throats” kick, and I would get on that band wagon of not liking the movie so much. So, with my wishy-washy attitude I will say that I like the idea of a television series based on the movie. I think the television series will really let the story lines of social tolerance play out and it won’t be so quick and choppy. Plus, it has an amazing cast and set of producers attached, so based on track record alone, I will give this series a shot.

The creative team of this series is headed by Glen Mazzara (“Life,” “The Shield”) and it includes writers from The Sopranos, NYPD Blue, Deadwood, Without A Trace, and The Wire

The series is set to premiere in October of this year.

Not too shabby Starz.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I disliked the movie “Crash” greatly, so I’ll take a wait & see attitude on this one.

    Meanwhile, have you seen this??

If they’re trying to hit the rock bottom of reality crap, this has to be breaking through the final crusty layer at best.
