The fate of Desperate Housewives could be determined in the next couple of weeks. ABC is thinking about pulling the plug on the show after this season. They may make a decision as early as the next couple weeks to announce it’s fate at the Summer TCA tour, but they’re not certain. The only other possibility for the network is to see how the show premieres and then make a decision.

Whether it stays on for one or two more, I see an end in sight very soon. If I were ABC, I’d give the ladies a short farewell season, but whatever…I’m not watching that show anymore, so they can do whatever they want with it. I know my mother will be disappointed because Desperate Housewives is her slow jam, but she’ll just have to get over it. Stay tuned…

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Things started to slide downhill in season 5. And that hill they slid down was made of turds. Also, the sled they used to slide down the turd-hill was made of crap. Things sort of picked up again slightly in season 6, but last year (season 7) was pretty much an abortion. The first 4 seasons are pure television gold, but the rest? Meh.

I still watch the show, but honestly, I think it’s time to pull the plug. Eight years is a great run, and there needs to be a planned end, so that the writers can try to salvage whatever decency is left in the show they can to give us long-time, hardcore fans something to be proud of.

But I’m sure that ain’t gonna happen.

What they *should* do, if you ask me, is . . . BRING BACK BETTY APPLEWHITE!

I miss Edie. Vanessa Williams is decent, but her character can’t quite fill the Edie void!

    Kayla would be awesome!

And yummy — I know. The dumbest thing they ever did was kill her off. I understand they had problems behind the set, but they should have recognized that Edie/Nicolette Sheridan was a big part of what made the show so good. Vanessa Williams is okay, and I thought she’d fill the void of Edie a little bit, but the writers totally screwed up the character of Renee.

If they play their cards right, maybe the rest of them can get on the updated Dallas on TNT like Mary Alice and two other people that I don’t even remember.

Oh yeah. They have Mary Alice, John Rowland, and Edie’s nephew who always walked around with his shirt off with a beer in his hand.

I have a neighbor who does that, and his wife looks pretty desperate to me….
