In case you didn’t get a chance to watch Dancing with the Stars last night, here it is in a nutshell: Julianne Hough came back to her alma mater to dance the night away to promote Footloose, while Chynna Phillips got voted off. She certainly had an off night, but didn’t deserve to be voted off. Poor thing…

She said, “I’m disappointed and I’m sad, but I have to take responsibility. I messed up and…I have an amazing partner. I love you, Tony. He’s been there for me 100 percent the entire way and I’m very grateful to have been on this show and have the opportunity. Thank you everyone who voted for me.”

I know one thing’s for sure, Chaz isn’t going anywhere for a while as long as Cher is there in support…and I love it (I’m a sucker for a good story).

So there it is, Gasmii…until next week.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Can someone explain to me why the last 2 contestants went home while Nancy Grace lives to dance another day? And has anyone else noticed the arm spanx she wears every week to keep the fat from flapping? Look closely, she has wrist cuffs where it starts, and it ends at her dress. Why not just, I dunno, where sleeves?

I didn’t see the show Monday just the highlights last night but there’s no way Chynna should have gone home. Travesty! I don’t care who’s in the frickin’ audience. Chaz, Nancy and (forgive me) Carson should have gone before her or the chick from last week. I really thought it was going to be Chynna and Ricki battling it out in the end. :-( She was very classy about it.
I think it probably is a case of people thinking their favorite is safe so they use their votes elsewhere.

I stopped watching. I figure if it’s not going to be about the best dancer or the best dancing there’s really no reason to watch.

You are all nuts. Nancy Grace has danced very technically perfect. Len coos over her each week. She takes pride in working hard and knowing nothing comes to her with out taking the time to work hard. She doesn’t just figure her long blond hair and slim body is going to make people pick up the phone. Seroiusly Chynna bored me to death. all arms and floating around. So when she broke and FORGOT EVERYTHING who the hell should vote for that? Carson at least in entertaining and not so caught up in his perfect look and dance we can’t enjoy the show. Chynna bitched and moaned every freaking week about how bad it all is. Blah, good riddance.

I agree with giff (REALLY?! Yes, really. lol.); Chynna was booted because she was boring and didn’t excite people. Boring doesn’t get the votes.

Carson is hilarious and has a larger-than life personality. He’s interesting. He cracks people up. Chaz has a fascinating story and Cher is his mama. People are interested in them and that’s what makes them pick up the phone.

Nancy Grace has a hot dance partner. Yes, that is probably irrelevant to my argument, but OMG he is magically delicious. I need a Guinness just thinking about him.

    Anyways, my two cents.

Also, DWTS comes down to votes – the judges scores matter not one bit. I read a post last year (I think) by Nate Silver (probability master and polling guru. I’m a nerd, so what?), and since the judges bunch up the scores and don’t use the full spectrum (1-10), their scores are in effect, meaningless. In order for their scores to actually effect the results, they’d actually have to give 1′s & 2′s to the sucky people and they don’t.

And my lord is this a ridiculously long comment about DWTS. Life. Need.

Seriously? Nancy Grace sucks on the dance floor. No personality, no musicality, way too stiff, and she looks almost as miserable as Kate Gosslin, if that’s possible.
