Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Maks also said (accurately) that the judges pick their favorites at the beginning, and their comments reflect that. (That’s a paraphrase.)
Maks is right that certain contestants can’t buy a compliment while others are praised no matter what schlock they turn in. That’s why I don’t watch the show anymore…I just read the recaps.
Oh psh XD This sort of stuff has been happening for years in the UK version (with Len too actually. haha). I think the jumping across from the UK to US and back is driving him insane XD (Bruno too but I have a feeling Bruno was already insane)
Couldn’t disagree more. This is a COMPETITION and has employed judges to bestow scores upon competitors. If a professional athlete would pop off like that at a ref or umpire (whether the call is right or wrong) they would be ejected.
Maks lack of respect is not funny at all and DWTS would still carry on if he left the show today as he very well might. His ego is too big for the ballroom and remind me how many mirror balls has he won?
As for Hope, I have never seen anybody who becomes so unglued at the slightest hint of imperfection or critisism (constructive or otherwise). Get over yourself and put that obnoxious body language that you use when the judges are addressing you to good use on the dance floor. (ya dumb bitch)
I don’t know how Len was being out of line by critiquing Hope’s bad dancing. Several others had negative reviews also yesterday. It doesn’t serve the show to have judges sugar coating and telling everyone a generic “good job”. The judges do that on AI and that show is as boring as can be now.
If they were consistent it would be one thing but they aren’t. Ricki has been overscored from day one (just happens to have their golden boy Derek as a partner). ITA with Maks. He didn’t mean the show was all about him, which he clarified by saying all the pros are invested in the show.
I agree with wcsddancer. There is no consistency to the scoring at all, and the numbers are based on how the judges feel about certain “stars.”
As a former competitive ballroom dancer, I can say that Len’s comments are usually spot on. Hope’s technique is terrible, and in my personal experience, Maksim is an arrogant jerk. They scored her better than Chaz, which was pretty generous in my eyes.
Maks was right. Len wasn’t out of line with his critique, because I could see what he was talking about with Hope’s dancing, but the judges do have their favorites and it’s not fair.
Also, if Maks wasn’t on the show anymore, I’m not sure I would want to watch so much. I love me some Maksim.
