E! just announced that they’re getting in the housewives game with their new series, Married to Rock. Yes, just as the title sounds, the new docuseries will follow the wives of famous musicians or band members. Looks like everyone wants to hop on the housewives train! VH1 has NBA Wives, they’re getting Football WivesBravo has the original Housewives, and now E! wants a piece of the the trainwreck pie. Don’t we have enough already? How far are they going to expand this genre? I bet they’ll keep going until every random profession is uncovered. “Next on WE TV, The Real Housewives of Famous Nurse Practitioners.”–it’s a bit much.

ANYWAY….The rock wives are:

Susan Holmes McKagan–wife of former Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan (yes, he has a last name!)

Etty Farrell – wife of Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell

Josie Stevens – wife of Billy Idol’s longtime guitarist Steven Stevens

AJ Celi – girlfriend of Cult guitarist Billy Duffy

Billy Idol’s guitarist?? A girlfriend of a guitarist from the Cult? I’m keeping my mouth shut.

The new series will premiere on November 7th at 10:30 PM ET/PT.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I shared a taxi once with the fiddle player for Billy Dean, does that mean I could qualify for the show? :) Oh wait, that’s country.

Bwaaaaaaah! Unbeweavable. If there can’t be an actual housewife in every home, there can be one on every tv set. Has anyone followed Dr. Phil’s howives?

Will be a scripited show. Can’t imagine E telling their true stories of infidelity and how the wives still hang on because they can not live without the fame and fortune. Must be a very hard life to live.
