There used to be a time when I would look forward to all of the Awards shows, but I must be off because I’m not as jazzed as usual this time around. Maybe it’s because Lost got overlooked, maybe it’s because there is not a show that I’m so absolutely in love with that I’m rooting for. Or maybe it’s because The Sopranos will have its last year at the Emmys, who knows? But for whatever reason, I’m just not as excited as usual. I need to take some Emmy ecstasy or something to get me going.

Fingers crossed for a good telecast tonight and that Ryan Seacrest will do a good job hosting. People always ask me, “do you think Ryan Seacrest sleeps?” I finally have an answer to that. I had a source call me in Korea to tell me that he is actually sleeping while he’s hosting sometimes, he’s just THAT GOOD. Don’t be fooled people, I want an awake Ryan tonight! ;-)

On another note, I have to admit, a little bit of me wants to see if Britney will give her “sorry” speech. Curiosity killed the Cat.

The toughest category for me to make my prediction on is Best Comedy:

With Entourage, The Office, 30 Rock, Two and a Half Men, and Ugly Betty in the running, I can’t begin to tell you who will win, or who I want to win. I love all of those shows, Two and a Half Men less then the rest, but they all nail it, don’t you think? And, they’re all totally different, where as the actor nominations are no-brainers for the comedy section for me.

Lead Actor, Comedy: Alec Baldwin, Steve Carell, Ricky Gervais, Tony Shalhoub, Charlie Sheen.

-I say Steve Carell

Lead Actress, Comedy: America Ferrera, Tina Fey, Felicity Huffman, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Mary Louise Parker.

-I say Tiny Fey

Others that I want to win and I think SHOULD win:

The Sopranos for Best Drama,

Mini Driver for Best Actress, Drama,

Rainn Wilson for Best Supporting Actor, Comedy

That’s all my crystal ball says for now! I’m boarding the plane now, see you back in the States and let’s talk Emmy Awards!

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.
