Fashiongasm: Country Music Awards!

When I saw these two together, I had to post this fashion edition of last nights CMT Awards. Erin Andrews & her new beau Maks Chmerkovskiy (from “DWTS”) look absolutely amazing. He in his extremely well-fitting tux & her in her in her form-flattering shimmering dress were definitely the “best dressed” of the evening. They are so cute together!

Others on my “best dressed” list were Taylor Swift, who always gets it right. Her maroon dress with matching shoes went perfect with her hair & make-up. LeeAnn Rimes, in her abstract, multi-colored mini looks adorable. It’s her hair I have a problem with. She looks like she’s been at the beach all day & let it air-dry. The shoes are great. Julianna Hough got it right with this summertime yellow mini. Her shoes weren’t so hot though. A colored shoe, maybe blue, would have complimented the dress more.

Carrie Underwood may have won two awards, but she lost all the way around in this pepto-bismol pink dress. The neckline & top are just too loose. The clip at the neck reminds me of the one my grandma wore to keep her sweater on her shoulders. I love her make-up, purse & shoes. Too bad she couldn’t find a dress to match. Kellie Pickle has the crappiest-looking dress of the evening. It’s attached to her wrists. When she raises her arms, does it go up over her head? Maybe her underpants are beautiful. Trisha Yearwood’s black leather dress just doesn’t fit. It’s way too long & too tight in her boobs & way too loose around her waist. I’m sure from the back you can see her butt crack when she walks.

Snookie is looking much better here than she did at the MTV Movie Awards. This sparkling dress accents her full figure & fits much better. I like the wrap too. That hair though…… Hayden Panettiere has me all confused. I like the green with the black lace & it’s wrapped very strategically which I think works. It’s her hair I hate. Laura Bell Bundy never ceases to amaze me. The girl is hot & she knows it. I love her whole look.

Why would you ruin a perfectly good-looking gown by putting a hole in it? All those puckers on Kara DioGuardi’s dress just ruin it. Faith Hill looks like she borrowed a dress from Merle Streep. Enough said there. I will give Sheryl Crow some slack for her shapeless white dress. She’s just had a baby.

Miranda Lambert wasn’t on “Dancing With the Stars”, but she managed to get her hands on that mirror ball & make a dress out of it. I wonder if people came up to her & checked their teeth in her chest? Martina McBride borrowed her dress material from my aunt’s bedspread. I do like her shoes though. Finally we have the host for the show, dressed to the nines in flannel & denim. He just makes me swoon!

There ya have it. I admit, I have no fashion sense & this is just an amusing past-time for me, but these people pay alot of money to look the way they do. It’s a shame when they don’t get their money’s worth. What do you think? Oh & don’t ya just LOVE Maks & Erin?
