Forbes released their list for top earning chefs, and there aren’t any surprises on the list. I’m shocked that Bobby Flay and Guy Fieri only make $9 million and $8 million…that doesn’t seem right, does it? Guy’s face is on TV every time I turn the channel. I wonder how accurate the earnings are on this list? And not all of them on the list are “officially” chefs, they should clarify…Either way, here’s the list to the golden spatulas:

1: Gordon Ramsay, $38 million

2: Rachael Ray, $25 million

3: Wolfgang Puck, $20 million

4: Paula Deen, $17 million

5: Mario Batali, $13 million

6: Alain Ducasse, $12 million

7: Todd English, $11 million

8: Nobu Matsuhisa, $10 million

9: Bobby Flay, $9 million

10: Guy Fieri, $8 million

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I am so happy that Tom Colicchio isn’t on that list. For all his puffery during Top Chef, he apparently isn’t in the top of his field, lol!

Well, I am not happy to see that douche bag Guy Ferry Fieri on the list, but better him than the biggest doosh bag chef of them all, Rocco Dispirito

Thomas Keller, Hubert Keller, Dan Barber, Eric Ripert and Lidia Bastianich aren’t on the list, either. The people at the top are clearly merchandisers as well as chefs/cooks and Gordon Ramsay (at this point) Rachael Ray and Guy Fieri are TV personalities.

I’ve never eaten at one of Tom’s restaurants so I can’t unequivocally say if he’s a good or great chef, but I’d bet $10 that he’s a better cook than Rachael Ray and Guy Fieri. And I doubt either of them would argue that, either.

Hasn’t Rachel Ray said she doesn’t consider herself a chef?

Neither Rachel Ray nor Paula Deen are Chefs. But the top 4 are all over the television along with a ton of merchandising kitchenware and cookbooks. And Batali is a thief so I don’t know about his numbers. Ramsay at 1 is no surprise. He has like 5 different tv shows. No idea how he has time for them and to run his 10 restaurants.

I hate Guy Fieri and Bobby Flay.

I’m kind of surprised that Curtis Stone isn’t on the list. I feel like I see him around alot too.
