Did anyone see the premiere of J.J. Abrams’ new series, Fringe last night? I liked it, but thought it copied every Sci-Fi show that exists right now or ever existed for that matter. And, I found it awfully close to Lost. Anyone else see that?

For those of you who missed it you can watch it online and it’s also replaying this Sunday at 8PM ET/PT.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I watched it. I actually really liked it. I thought that the beginning was pathetically like Lost…and basically the overall feel of the show is the new X-files. However, I loved X-Files…so I am all for it!

I didn’t, and I was just reading that Fringe’s ratings didn’t nearly live up to its hype. Too much JJ?

Also 90210 tanked hard. I saw that one coming 5 miles away. It just looks terrible.

90210 SUCKS so hard. I’m so over that show! But I agree with you shan about X-files. the show was too much of a hybrid of x-files and lost. I like Sci-Fi as long as they’re not copying everything out there. When Lost came out it was revolutionary for that genre, and same for Lost…but Fringe, meeehh. I’m not giving up on it as I liked it, but it’s just another JJ show. Keep u posted after next week’s episode.

I actually liked Fringe, I thought it had enough of a “mystery set-up” (like the Dharma Initative or SD-6) to make it a long term interesting show. Plus the characters were pretty original, not just copies of other people from his other shows.

The beginning with the crashing plane was very “LOST”, and some of the music was similar, but overall, I think J.J. Abrams fans will enjoy the show.

“Let’s make some LSD.” Good line.

And yeah, the music is very identical to lost, considering it’s the same composer on the two Shows.

Liked the show, I will definitely have this on my PVR.
