Glass House is a Go!

ABC has let us take a peek at it’s new reality show Glass House. Maybe it’s just to prove that it’s nothing like Big Brother on CBS. To tell you the truth, from what I’m seeing, I don’t think so either.

First thing’s first, it will premiere on Monday, June 18th at 10pm EST. After that, it will have “live streaming” on the internet from 11pm to 3am and again from 3pm to 4pm EST Tuesday thru Thursday. During this time, you, the viewer, will not only get to watch the 14 people in the house, you will also have the opportunity to vote on a variety of things relating to the house. For example, what they wear, where they sleep, what they eat, and who gets another shot at the game. There will only be 10 episodes on TV, airing every Monday night at 10pm, over the 10 weeks the contestants are in the house.

The contestants will be split into teams for challenges and each will have a captain. The captain will be determined by the viewers votes. The person with the LEAST amount of votes becomes the team captain. So that means the guy everyone hates gets to be the captain….right? Anyhow, the captain of the team that loses a challenge is sent into “limbo” along with another player from the losing team. WTF is “limbo”? Well, it’s a place outside the house. I’m thinking it’s like the “have-not” room from Big Brother….a place you don’t want to be. The viewers then vote which one gets to come back into the house and the other one is sent packing. You can vote on as few or as many people that you’d like to stay in the house. At the end of the current voting period, the two people with the fewest number of votes become team captains for the next week’s challenge.
