Gwyneth is officially a professional singer because she just signed a record deal with Atlantic Records for $900,000. It’s insane to me that she just picked up singing like a new hobby, and is now getting paid for it. I know she was in Country Strong, and she sings on Glee, but the fact that she’s taken it to another level is kind of crazy. It’d be like if John C. Reilly decided to embark on a music career after doing Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. I can’t wait to hear what she comes up with…

I hope it doesn’t flop for the sake of her husband’s street cred.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Ugh, why are people acting Gwyneth is like, “just now” getting into singing? Remember “Cruisin’” with Huey Lewis? That was a decade ago. And she has a song on the “Infamous” soundtrack. She sang with Jay-Z in concert years before she was on Glee or Country Strong. I probably won’t buy her album, but I’d much rather someone with an actual singing voice and talent cut an album than, say, Kim Kardashian or Heidi Montag.

The movie’s a piece of poo, but even if you hate Gwyneth (which everyone in America does, for some reason), you can’t say she has a horrible voice.

Back when she did Duets, I remember reading somewhere that a music executive analyzed a bunch of singing celebrities (there was a lot of singing movies released). The two he thought were most commercially appealing were Gwyneth and Ewan McGregor. I would be first in line for an Ewan McGregor album….

I would totally buy a John C. Reilly album. He was great in Chicago! I would buy him doing Broadway’s Greatest Hits or something…but I’m kind of a dork.
