This morning Howard Stern announced on his radio show that he has been invited back to judge AGT next season. And that doesn’t shock me AT ALL. The show did well without Howard, but since he’s been on, it’s been doing amazing. Not to mention, Howard brings a lot to the table. I know a lot of people think Howard has made the show all about himself, but I disagree…maybe it’s because I’m a Howard fan, but I love him on that judges table.

Howard hasn’t decided if he’s going to sign on for next season quite yet. Today is his first day pulling double duty of radio and AGT, so he’s going to see how he feels (because he can). The one thing I love about Howard is that he always puts radio first before TV. He knows he’s a radio guy, he talks about being a radio guy first, and that’s where his loyalty is. If he doesn’t go back to AGT, I won’t be too crushed because it means I’d have him back in my car for the few days he’s on…but honestly, I now watch AGT because of him, so I hope he can pull through.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

For a second I’d thought he had left or something!

I hope he returns next season because he’s been a great addition to the show. Certainly better than Piers Morgan.

He’s so mean to Howie!! Howie gets the tone of the show. Yes, they’re looking for talent, bt sometimes quirky, fun contestants make great TV. Howard takes himself and the process way too seriously. Acting all offended because Howie (and America) commend a little man on his mediocre singing who we all know isn’t getting a million dollars but is a fun respite from the more serious acts. Gosh, if you’re back next season, loosen up Howard!

    Yayyy!!!
I wasn’t sure about Howard, but I really really like him on the show. He’s so funny and much more fun than Piers ever could be.
I agree with you @sarcastire, that he can be mean to Howie at times, but I definitely get the vibe that it’s more of a teasing, playful mean. He’s the same with Sharon. Piers’ mean was cutting and just plain old no fun mean. So I will take Howard all day.

Sometimes, he does get on my nerves with that whole, “But is this a million dollar act? I don’t think so” thing. He should just let people be great every once in a while.

I haven’t watched it yet, but I was excited to see him sign on. All of the older generation people around me were boo-hooing over it and all disgusted at Howard being on their sacred, clean show. I kept telling them just to wait, because Howard knows what he’s talking about. The guy has managed to be relevant for decades. At times, supremely so. They’re all in love with Howard now.

He’s a great guy. I’ve always had Howard’s back when people talk smack about him who have never listened to his show. He’s not just some perv who likes to have naked chicks on his show and laugh at fart sounds. I mean, that’s part of it. But it’s not all he’s about. He’s a really nice guy.

He is a delightful change from that stuffed shirt Piers. I’ve listened to Howard for more years than I like to admit (because I am way old) and he is a real sweetie pie under that facade he portrays on the radio as anyone that listens regularly knows. I did not really like AGT but I do watch it now every week. My daughter was lucky enough to go to a live show two weeks ago in Newark and she said Howie and Howard are great friends and they all get along really well during commercial breaks etc…I think the three of them are a good mix and I am glad to see him coming back.

I despised Howard from the little snippets of his radio shows I’ve heard over the years, but I think he’s the best judge on the show. I actually think Howie more than anyone tries to make the show about himself. And truly, Nick is clearly the real star. Love him! Anyway, I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I hope Howard returns. He won me over.

Enrique, I also agree that Nick is the real star. He’s engaging, charismatic, fun, and he seems like he’s having a great time. He doesn’t take himself or anything too seriously. He also goads Howard a bit and I think he’s the only one who could get away with it, like last week after the Howard vs Howie showdown, at the end of the show, Nick was wrapping up and Howard was still standing over Howie’s chair whispering. Nick casually tossed a “Howard, sit yo’ butt down!” and kept going with the voting instructions. it cracked me up. And Howard did take a seat, so there’s that. lol
