I Feel Bad For Lou Ferrigno

Lou Ferrigno’s wife and manager Carla blasted the producers of DWTS for not casting Lou this season.

“They never even had the class to give Lou a call and tell him that he was not going to be chosen ” this is the second time they haven’t selected him but it will be the last…Lou is an American icon and we had a lot of fans contacting us who were excited about him appearing on Dancing With The Stars. The producers told us he would have made an excellent contestant and when you compare him to some of the â€˜so-called’ celebrities they picked it just does not make any sense at all. We couldn’t believe some of the people they picked and Lou was more surprised than upset that he wasn’t chosen because we know he would have been great,” she added. “I mean Tom Delay, a corrupt politician, a skateboarder (Louie Vito) who nobody has ever heard of and what exactly has Ashley Hamilton ever done?”

You know what? She’s right. Lou would have been a much better choice over Ashley Hamilton, or even Aaron Carter. I’ve met Lou several times, and he is the sweetest man EVER. Plus, the fact that he’s hard of hearing could have been a great story piece for the show (similar to Marlee Matlin). Sure he hasn’t done anything in years except for some cameos, but he is a great pop culture icon. Sorry Lou, I’m pissed for you too.

The list of “celebrities” for the upcoming season is lackluster, at best. The producers blew it by not including Mr. Ferrigno.

I totally agree, Nads. A super hunk o’man and adorable to boot, kinda like Warren. (Only I think Lou is genuinely sweet, where Warren actually is sort of a tool.)

Even if Lou isn’t a current star, he’d be one you wouldn’t have to explain every time his name came up. I think most people would recognize him, especially the older folks who watch this show.

Ashley Hamilton? WTF?
