American Idol is kicking off Jermaine Jones for lying about his criminal past and is going to be sent home packing tonight. I guess producers started getting suspicious after they learned that Jermaine lied about his dad abandoning him 10 years ago…anyway, that lead to an investigation and they found out that he was arrested twice last year with outstanding warrants. What a disaster! I’m glad they’re doing something about it, and not turning a blind eye. He was confronted on camera last night, but tonight we’ll see him actually leave the show. Poor Idol, this is the most press they’ve has gotten all season and it’s over someone lying about their criminal past.

I have a question…how did he pass the background check in the first place? Don’t they check everything? How could he have gone all this time without anyone noticing? Ha. Someone needs to be fired!! If people actually did their job and didn’t facebook all day at work, I’m sure this would have been caught a lot sooner.

Yes, I’m guilty of never working and always trying to sneak away to blog or facebook. Glad it wasn’t my job.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

The only way I see him getting around the background check is that he said that this was another Jermaine Jones and he was working to get the situation cleared up.

My brother had his license suspended because someone with the same name as his didn’t pay his tickets in Arizona. 1. Brother has never been to Arizona. 2. Brother was in France when the guy got the tickets. So mom had to send all his flight information to Arizona and of course the government is super quick about these things so needless to say Brother’s license was suspended for a month (maybe longer than that. Brother was in an accident an that’s how he found out his license was suspended in the first place)

Oh your poor bro! How awful. Bureaurocracys are so much fun.

it’s one thing to pay your debt to society (look at RPDR’s Latrice) and quite another to pretend you aren’t a criminal.

Hubbycat has the same name as a terrorist on The List, so we have to check in everytime we fly. can’t use the speed line, so i understand a wee bit how these things can gum up the wheels of life.

My brother’s credit got combined with a guy who has a SIMILAR but not same name. He’s been working on getting it sorted out for years…because of all the places that buy the info from the (stupid sloppy) credit info places, everytime he thinks it’s fixed, it isn’t.

Well my mother though it would be nice for my brother and I to have common names.

I was in a hotel and somehow I was being charged for three rooms. I told the people I have a common name and everything was falling under my name. The hotel attendant was telling me that was not the case. Sure enough an hour later they call my room to tell me there is another person with the same name as mine in the hotel and her credit card was declined so they charged it to my account. Wonderful!!!

I will say that they comped my room for the trouble for the two nights after that that we stayed.

My brother and I have numerous stories like this. Le Sigh

    I love technology…Yippie!!! :(

They care less about his criminal background and more about the fact that his sob story didn’t pan out.

I’m sure they knew about his background before and didn’t care… it wasn’t until his “never knew my father” sob story was contradicted by said father that AI was like, “Hold up, wait a minute!” But of course, they couldn’t give THAT as a reason, so..
