Who’s it going to be? Who do you want to win? I was going for David Cook this whole time but then after seeing last night’s show I’m kind of on the Archuleta train and I never thought I would be. Whoever wins will do just fine for themselves, but if they’re going for talent and the better singer, then David Archuleta deserves to win. I’ll be working the red carpet for Tvgasm and Mania so hopefully I’ll have good gossip for you guys by the end of the night!

Thoughts on Idol?

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

COOK all the way! Archie was THE SAME last night. The kid looks like a ventriloquist dummy.

Cook deserves this so much more. I am FURIOUS at Simon for throwing him under the bus like that, but I ended up giving Cookie about 3,000 votes tonight, so I’ve done my bit. Never make a Word Nerd mad.

More talent? Archie? PUH-lease. The kid has a nice voice, but to be a truly talented musician, you have to have the whole package. Cook has it, Archie does not.

    COOK FTW.

Maybe I’m missing something, but I wasn’t impressed with Archie last night. I’ve been on many sites and it’s like every recapper is like Archie won that night, he was the best singer, and he gave it his all and Cook didn’t. WTF? I must’ve heard something different because Archie did what he does every week which is bore me to death.

Seriously, I’ve never liked Archie, he’s a nice kid, but the constant pimping of this child, the fact that he does the same thing every performance, and the fact he’s never given him any criticism at all by the judges really pissed me off.

Anyway it doesn’t matter, David Cook won and I knew he was going to win matter what he did.

    P.S. This Season Sucked

Okay, georgiababe and bigjr, I do take the Cook/talent part back from my post. Cook has way better stage presence that Archuleta, but I really do think that Archuleta did the better job last night. My friends are all mad at me today b/c we’ve been arguing about it on email (they all loved Cook last night)…

Now in Cook’s defense, I thought that his last song was amazing, and Simon hated it, but Simon hates a lot of things. The judges were all for Archuleta last night, I wonder if the votes were down last week and they were trying to bias the voters.

Cook is the better package, but Archuleta has the better voice. Now, who’s album would i be more likely to buy for my taste in music? David Cook. But, I do have to say that I overlooked Archuleta (and he bugged me the whole season) until last night. I still think that Archuleta did a better job.

And lol re: making a Word Nerd mad…

So, last night’s comp. winner (in my eyes): Archuleta

Overall??? Cook, maybe??? I am disappointed in this season as I want something else from these singers…but to quote U2, “I still haven’t found what I’m looking for. ”

I predict Archuleta will win — just on last night’s perfs alone.

I completely agreed with Cowell (I generally, tho reluctantly, do) — esp the fact that Cook should have done Billie Jean again — for the win.

I agree that Cook has rockstar presence, but Archuleta is a consumate technician, in terms of his virtually flawless singing abilities and his ability to project emotion and connect with his audience — something that Cook has yet to master — and he also has a far broader range of appeal.

Mark my words — somebody of the calibre of Burt Bacharach or Elton John + Bernie Taupin or Diane Warren will write Archuleta a series of killer and major hit songs and he’ll be be wowing crowds at Vegas well into his twilight years, with tonnes of legit fame in the long years inbetween now and then.

    Fetus for the win.

AND Cook takes it – like I always knew he would. Can’t base the champion on one night.

Fetus has a contract with Disney. He’ll be starring in the next HSM sequels, mark MY words.

    COOKIE FTMFW!
