american idol review

Is it just me, or was Idol HORRIBLE last night? Let’s talk about the massacres first, because frankly, there were a lot! I’m not even going to comment on the fact that MILEY was their mentor.

Jump in…I don’t want to spoil it for anyone.

The bombs:

-Paige Miles did to Against All Odds…oooofff…I’m surprised Phil Collins didn’t call in a bomb threat during the live show to stop her.

-Tim Urban – I’ve hated this guy from day one. He.can’t.sing.

-Andrew Garcia – I’m really a sad about this one, because I’ve been rooting for him from the beginning, but Simon’s right…maybe they overrated his Straight Up performance. I don’t know what it is, but maybe he is just a one-trick pony–and is just really good at covering old pop songs. Who knows? All I know is that he’s in trouble if he doesn’t loosen up.

The Others:

-Lee Dewyze - he gave his standard Lee performance. He did great compared to the others.

-Casey James- this guy can sing, but he looks like he’s so bored up there…it’s like he’s waiting in line at Starbucks for his soy latte.

-Didi Benami - she didn’t do it for me last night. She’s not on the cutting board, but she will be in about 4 weeks if she doesn’t shape up.

-Katie Stevens-somehow I feel like she made the Fergie song sound old, but at least she took the judges’ notes and tried to act her own age…I was just happy she didn’t look like she was on her way to a Victorian tea party.

-Big Mike - whatevs. He did fine, but his performance didn’t do it for me AT ALL.

-Aaron Kelly-He did great. I’m starting to like him more.

-Crystal Bowersox-she did amazing, as usual.

-Siobhan Magnus – I love her. Her performance wasn’t as good as last week, but she could do no wrong in my eyes. Doesn’t she have serial killer qualities when she wears her glasses? Watching her interview package I was like…”um after the interview was done, did she tell the producers that she just poisoned them?”

Who’s on the cutting board? I say Paige, Tim, and Andrew. Last night was SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.
