HELP!

I wanted to write something about Idol yesterday, but was waiting on the guys to give a fair assessment. So now that all is said and done, here it goes…

Everyone sucked this week with exception of a few people. But then again, it’s the first week, and everyone usually sucks right now. The good news is that it can only go up from here, right? One should only hope.

Let’s talk about last night:

I thought Casey James gave the best performance of the night. I thought for sure that Andrew Garcia would blow Casey out of the water, but sadly, he didn’t. I was really disappointed in Andrew’s performance, as I know he has so much more to offer. Vocally, I thought Alex Lambert did great, but his performance was so damn stiff, and rigid, that it made me cringe. And, last, I thought Lee Dewyze did OKAY. I see his rock appeal, but in my opinion, we’ve heard it all before.

And now, the disasters:

-TIM URBAN–ouch. I felt so bad for him. I wanted him to stop singing, and yell, “Just Kidding.” Unfortunately, he wasn’t “just kidding.” It was atrocious to say the very least.

-I can’t stand Tyler Grady. Everything about him seems hacky to me. We get it dude, now do something original.

And John Park…is he campaigning for the AARP show choir?

And the girls…oh the girls. I won’t get into it too deep, but I’ll give you my favs of the night, and who I’m looking forward to seeing next week:

-Crystal Bowersox

-Awkward Siobhan Magnus–She’s so Emo, it’s awesome.

-Lilly Scott

-Katelyn Epperly

-Michelle Delemor–she did well, but I’m not totally convinced she can perform outside of a cruise ship.

What do you guys think?

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.
