Miss Andy had Kim Fields and Mindy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live and played a fun little game that let the girls dish on each other. I was always a huge Facts of Life fan, so I thought this was blogworthy.

Btw, Mindy Cohen is totally rocking Carson Kreesley hair these days. Ha.

Here’s the video:

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Showing my age but I loved watching this on Sunday nights right after Different Strokes. To really show my age The Muppet’s came on right before DS at 7:30 PM on the REAL NBC on channel 3(in Philly).

I thought Kim came off a little diva-ish. Don’t like the way she was facing away from Mindy and Andy the whole time.

I don’t know that they wanted to ‘dish dirt’ which is sweet.

I can imagine Kim being a bitch, considering that she’s had so many roles as an adult, but she’ll always be seen as Tootie, an eleven year old girl on roller skates.

Btw, the best episode of Facts was the one where Tootie almost became a prostitute and Mrs. Garrett came to save her at some diner. Also, my mom always wondered why Charlotte Rae never blinked and watching it now in syndication, I can’t focus on anything else.

That creepy eye doctor lady talking about Restasis never blinks either. Shudder.

I was a Facts of Life fan when I was a kid.

I loved Kim on Living Single. I always think of her at that character though the name that comes to mind (other than her real name) is Tootie. That’s just such a crazy name. I’d forgotten about the roller skates.

late to the game here, but I watched this episode… and I got the distinct impression (from both some of the comments and some of the body language) that Mindy and Kim are not besties by any stretch of the imagination. Kim made a few snide gestures/remarks that led me to believe she kinda looks down on Mindy. Please! Nice plug for your T-shirt line there…

To be fair, that’s GOTTA get exhausting and super-annoying to only ever be asked over and over about a TV show you were on 25 years ago, so I can give both of them a pass for not wanting to dish much dirt, it’s probably super-over-mined territory for both of them.

I did find it interesting that Mindy is no longer in contact with Nancy McKeon and Lisa Whelchel, and I wonder what the story is there, at least in the case of Nancy (Lisa Whelchel is edging into Kirk Cameron territory with her craziness, it’s no surprise that Mindy wouldn’t want to associate).

    love, J-Mo :)

@gun kata, the name you are looking for is “Regine.” I have a female friend who stole her sign-off “smooches” and uses it to today!
