Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I am NOT his biggest fan & I thought his ‘relationship’ with that skank Ev was beyond ridiculous, but for some reason, me watching that video touched me in a way I didn’t think it would. I literally felt sick watching this guy being told that his life as he knows it is over. I don’t know what the hell happened but for this to hit him THE NEXT DAY & the way it seemed so cold was kinda upsetting to me. (I mean seriously, was the shot of the guy throwing his shit out of his locker like it was trash really necessary?) Did he get to tell them his side of the story? Could they not wait until he was at least convicted? Did they just assume he did it & not give him the benefit of doubt and remember that he’s married to a violent attention whore who could have very well exaggerated what happened? She’s now saying she’s not sure it was intentional & if this man has taken a blow to his career because of something that inadvertently happened in the heat of an argument, that is beyond NOT OK. Watching that scene felt like that coach was waiting for a reason to get rid of his ass & he just gave him one hell of an excuse. That interview he was talking about he said Chad was ‘cursing & losing his temper’ but that interview was the EXACT opposite of what he was saying. He wasn’t upset & going on a rant, it was a light hearted interview about his season with his new team & while he did curse a couple of times, it was when the reporters asked him how it was going & he said ‘fucking great’, then they asked him was he as good as he use to be and he said ‘are ya’ll watching this shit’. I don’t see how that classified as another character flaw that could be used against him. So, again, I think that coach just didn’t like his ass and jumped at the chance to get rid of him. I didn’t know that there aren’t steps to take before terminating a player, like hearings, meetings with the owners, or even evidential trials. Who knew the coach had the sole discretion?
Having said all that, we are talking about a cocky idiot that legally changed his name to Ocho-mutherfucking-cinco and married a fame whore for a tv show, so my sympathy may be for naught. Maybe this will bring his cocky ass down a peg or two & he is hopefully able to play for another team. Anything that gets Ocho & Ev off my screen is a highlight tbh.
I dunno Nas being called out for having a ghost writer is pretty bad too but this is not a music website
Oh Gypsy…I’m so confused.
@fancyface-the NFL keeps criminals all the time if they have something to offer. the bottom line is, ocho is past his prime, and doesn’t really have anything to offer the team. from what i heard he wasn’t impressive in training camp, and the negative media attention this incident brings to the dolphins isn’t worth it for them. the NFL is a cold business-when they drop you, you literally have five minutes to clear out your locker. they don’t care about players as individuals.
word around the sports talk radio is that he’s not going to be picked up.
@michka, that’s funny because word around sports talk here is that he will get picked up.
Chad was a nuisance. The things he said on twitter, the cursing at the press conference and shenanigans at practice and off the field just weren’t what this team was looking for. They’ve only been in camp 10 maybe 12 days and he’s already caused the Dolphins alot of trouble. As a veteran they needed Chad to come in there and show the young kids how to do it. Not be the young kid who needs reigning in.
@classy drunk-that is pretty funny! i’m in st. louis-are you near miami? i’ve been hearing that the people around here at least just don’t think his skills at this point are enough to overcome all the drama that’s going to surround him with all of this. i think if you sign johnson you kind of know what you’re going to get at this point, but all of the stuff that happened this week just put it over the top.
@michkabibbles…So that validates my theory about the coach looking for any reason to cut his ass. And the NFL obviously doesn’t care about their players as individuals because any way you look at it, the way they handled him was cold hearted & rushed. I also agree that if he was in his hey days as a player, they would’ve stuck by him. Micheal Vick & that plaxio or whatever guy, the multiple players that are convicted woman beaters, drug dealers/users, & even attempted murders that didn’t get cut comes to mind when discussing them turning a blind eye to their players’ shenanigans. The possibility of him not being picked up by another team is kinda sad because even at half steam he was a good ball player.
There’s nothing worse than wasted talent.
@Michka, I am in Atlanta. They are saying a team may do it to get some publicity and to put butts in the seats to see the train wreck.
@fancyface-i actually think they might have kept him if it wasn’t for this. coaches don’t usually need a reason to let someone go, especially this time of year, and without a guaranteed contract. this might just have been the last straw.
@ classydrunk: that makes some sense-i always forget about the train wreck aspect, and if you have a team with no chance at making anything, and aren’t in a turn around year, i can see it. all the career criminals in the league, and this is the incident that gets repurcussions?
it’s a shame he spent so much energy on being a superstar and not enough on just developing his talent.
Also the receivers Miami has right now are DOO DOO and they don’t have an established QB. As a first year coach it would have been in his best interest to keep Chad, but the hoopla surrounding him made that impossible.
Chad never had to work at being a good receiver. He was naturally gifted. He should have dial down the superstar a bit so that he could get an analyst job after retirement. He’s easy on the eyes, knows the game and is entertaining. That’s what he should have been focusing on.
I think he’ll get picked up. If Michel Vick can resurrect his career Chad can do the same. He is past his prime, he was a total Miva up here when the Pats signed him but. he’s a showman and Lord knows America loves some drama with their professional sports. Look at the freaking Mannings!
What I do agree with is, someone on staff for the Dolphins wanted him out. My guess? They couldn’t stand Evelyn.
The NFL is an ice cold corporate machine. This is one area I can speak of from first hand experiencnce.
@mick…I know they would’ve kept him if this didn’t happen. I’m saying this coach was looking for a FEASIBLE reason to let him go because he clearly didn’t like him & this fool gave him a good one. I think saying he used curse words in a non threatening way during an interview, wouldn’t have been enough to merit the cut.
I am an equal opportunist when it comes to drama!!!!
Mich from what I hear the rookies loved him and brought a work ethic into camp. I would guess it would be the Raiders, but since Al baby passed they are trying to change their stripes.
Cold hearted how they fired him. The GM was spewing such shit it was embarrassing. This is a team that desperately needs receivers.
In conversation before dinner I mentioned Ocho and my sis-in-law didn’t miss a beat correcting me that he is now Chad Johnson. The bigger they are….
Ah yes. Drama, Classy!
Yes the NFL is a huge machine that chews up and spits out men in a rather confusing way– heroes become has-beens and then back again with dizzying speed. Vick is a prime case in point. But my immediate reaction to the news– before his world came crashing down around him– was that all this was on the word of Ev, a woman not known for her credibility or high morals. Men who use violence against anyone weaker are despicable, but some women know that all they have to do is make an accusation and the law and public sympathy are all on their side.
I want all the facts.
i admit i don’t know about what’s going on with the dolphins right now (they’re in a different division), and the radio reactions i heard were more immediate gut reactions right after hearing about it. everything i’ve heard is that he’s a ‘clown, not a criminal’, and hasn’t had any legal troubles his entire career. i will say that i’ve only seen basketball wives here and there, but evelyn always seemed so volatile. it’ll be interesting to see how it shakes out (from an nfl perspective)
Is it common to videotape cutting a player from the team of was this a preemptive strike on the part of the Dolphins in hopes of not being associated with domestic violence/bad press?
The Dolphins are on HBO’s Hard Knocks this season. It’s a documentary (reality show for sports) about a specific team’s training camp.
It gets pretty emotional because you get invested in players and HBO can’t manipulate who gets on the team and who doesn’t. So sometimes it’s jubilation that someone made the team and sometimes it’s sadness.
They generally show a few players get cut from the team each season. Especially if they have to cut a veteran.
Either way veteran or rookie, the cuts are gut wrenching because you are watching someone’s dream end.
Sorry about all the sports talk. I probably like sports more than I do my reality television *ducks shoes being thrown*. I am on a sports forum just like this one for television.
@classy drunk-i’m enjoying the sports talk! have you ever read a few seconds of panic by stefan fatsis? he’s a reporter who entered denver broncos training camp as a kicker a few years ago (when plummer was the quarterback). it’s a great behind the scenes look at how things really operate in an nfl team, and i was shocked at how unceremoniously players were dropped from the team (veterans and newbies a lot).
fatsis also wrote word freak, about the world of competitive scrabble tournements.
I haven’t read that but I plan on doing it!
Thanks, Classy. I don’t mind the sports talk..unless you start talking about blitzes and field goal percentages. Then my eyes go crossed.
wait…Nas had a ghost writer?!
