There were rumors that Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel were going to reunite on the Disney Channel pilot, Girl Meets World, which is the the story of Cory and Topanga–married, and raising a 13-year-old daughter…well, the rumors were true. It’s official…They’ve both signed on for the pilot! Pretty cool for a sequel, too bad it’s over a decade later! The good news is that the creator and executive producer of Boy Meets World is in charge of this show, so at least they’ll try (fingers crossed) to keep the integrity of our old beloved sitcom. I know it’s in the early stages, but it’s so feel good to know that Cory and Topanga got married and had a kid. So sweet. My childhood heart is warm.

**Update** Correction–thanks to Sagittariuskim…they were married by the end of the show! But I’m happy they had a kid :-)

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Corey and Topanga were married in Boy Meet World. They were in their early 2os by the end of the series.

And I don’t think it’s taken them to long. There’s been enough time that it’s believable that they could have a 13 year old daughter. And for the show to become nostalgic. And went MTV 2 showing reruns of it now, and marathons of it sometimes, the characters are fresh in people’s minds again.

Actually, the timing is just about perfect. When it ended in 2000, they would have been around 20 (give or take a couple of months). By the time it premieres, they’ll have been _just_ old enough to have a 13-year-old daughter if they had her shortly after the show ended.

So in “And went MTV 2″ went was supposed to be with.

I also just wanted add that I’ll probable watch out of curiosity, since I grew up with Boy Meets World. I just hope they don’t turn it into a clone. And I hope that the rest of the cast at least make a cameo.
