For me, The 85th Annual Academy Awards is all about the pre-show, the arrival of the movie stars and the walk down the RED CARPET! I don’t care who wins. I didn’t see a single one of the movies nominated this year. I never do. I’m more invested in TV shows! My point is this, I will be in the TVgasm Forums during the “Red Carpet” arrivals. I’ll be posting fashion pictures and making comments on what I see while I’m there. Does that sound like fun? Then join me here and we can decide who’s the “Best Dressed” and who bought something from Project Runway.
So I’ve got Wolfgang Puck catering our little “Oscar Party” and for music I thought I might bring in someone who could really entertain us all. It was a toss up between two greats, but I had to go with my gut and I’m sure you will all be pleased with my choice…..
The “Biebs”, he’s perfect for our party! He can roll the doobies and pass ‘em around and at the end of the night, he can be our designated driver in his ‘oh so sweet’ Ferrari. All the while he can serenade us with his teeny-bopper songs! My other choice was Chris Brown. but he was expecting to street brawl this weekend.
These fellows will be our servers for the night, passing out champagne and hor’ d’oeuvres They will be working for tips only, so I hope you do right by them, if you know what I mean. I bought them cute little aprons to wear and they will be painted gold like “Oscar”!
Of course, no one else could be my hostess but my BFF Klhoe Kardashian! She needs to hone up on her public speaking anyways, cuz those ass-wipes at X-Factor say she can’t read a teleprompter. I’m having one brought to the party just so we can make a game out of it… like KARAOKE! WOOHOO!
No party would be complete without my “Guest of Honor”. I wouldn’t dream of having a party without inviting this person and I know you will ALL be thrilled to see who it is! By the way, all drinks will be compliments of ……
OH and I’ve got a great HOT TUB in the front yard for anyone wanting to take a dip before the Academy Awards Show thatstarts at 8:30pm ET on ABC.

So this is the TVgasm “Oscar Party” I have planned for tomorrow night. It’s going to be fantastic! So make sure you sign in to the forums early and get a good seat. You don’t want to miss any of the action. Remember anything that happens in the forums, stays in the forums! OH, I almost forgot! You want to know who the “Guest of Honor” is. Silly me, I almost forgot the best part of the party!

@lindaw, the Red Carpet happens BEFORE the Academy Awards show! It’s when the STARS ARRIVE! They will be in they’re seats by the time “The Walking Dead” comes on.
E! covers the Red Carpet starting at 5;30pm ET with Jiuliana Rancic and Ryan Seacrest at the helm. That’s 2:30pm on the West coast. Those stars are up at the crack of dawn getting ready just so I can make fun of what they are wearing in a few hours!
ABC, which is airing the Acadamy Awards at 8:30pm ET, will be doing the Red Carpet thing at 7pm ET. This is when the “bigger” stars show up. Their “hosts” will be Jess Cagle, Kristen Chenoweth, Kelly Rowland and Lara Spencer.

“Do you know how much money it took to get her there? Jet, Secret Service, Dress, Ground Transportation and local police? I am pretty sure that there is a charity out there somewhere that could have used the money that was spent for this frivolous superficial photo op.
Helluva way to show the nation that while you understand the economy is tanking, you still feel no personal responsibilty to not spend taxpayers $ and perhaps forgo an Oscar party?! I betcha there is a charity out there that would have benefited big time just from the fuel cost.
Dresses..I LOved Sandra B’s dress. Sally, red is not your color and that dress is ugly. Charlize, I have a girl crush on her anyway so she looks good in anything. Kristen Chenowerth! Puurty. Glad to see that Adele’s tailor ran out of tablecloths. She looked lovely.

OMG!! The First Lady wasn’t there!!! She was at the White House and it was a satellite connection so what the hell’s the big fucking deal! Don’t even start going political in any of my articles cuz you will regret it!
Oh Brandi, don’t you hate it when your dress scrunches DOWN on you? Happens to me all the time… but then, we could also go buy (or borrow) a dress that fits us, ‘mkay?
The LAPD staffs all of the awards shows with off-duty officiers who volunteer for the evening, and are picked at random from those officers who want to work the shows. I’m sure after the week-long manhunt for a cop killer that ended with 3 cops killed, and others wounded, the LAPD enjoyed a little frivolousness. Cali-brother-in-law is on the force, which is how I know.
Did I miss something? I thought when Michelle said “Greetings from the White House”… or something along those lines, it was BLATANTLY obvious she was doing the telecast from the White House? Where is everyone getting the impression she frivolously spent all of the nation’s money to present an award in the some private backstage room at the Oscars?

Looking at best and worst dressed pics today. Got totally skeeved out at the gorgeous, and pregnant, Georgina Chapman and her hideous husband Harvey Weinstein. I know looks aren’t everything but MAN he’s got to have a fucking TON of money. Maybe it was in vitro. (shudder)
