People reported yesterday that Jack Osbourne has been diagnosed with M.S. How sad is that? He’s only 26-years-old. Jack told People, “I was just angry and frustrated and kept thinking, ‘Why now?’ I’ve got a family and that’s what’s supposed to be the most important thing.”

That is some serious bad news. I feel so bad for him, he just had a baby and he’s going to get married…Twenty-six is just too young. I know there are many ways to try to keep healthy when you have M.S., and there are many different levels of the disease, but at the end of the road, it’s pretty bad.

Hang in there, Jack!

I hope I don’t have another Bad News Bears post today…don’t mean to be such a Debbie Downer.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I was sad to hear this. There are a couple of positives out of it, though. With treatment, he should hopefully get the vision back in his one eye. And there is so much research going on into new drugs and treatments that are improving MS patients’ lives.

My daughter was diagnosed two years ago at the age of 20. The worse part for her (beside the tremors) is killer fatigue. Not, “oh I’m really tired” but bone-deep exhausted. That would be tough to have when trying to chaser after a baby.

I wish him well. Hopefully his diagnosis will raise even more awareness that this is a disease that needs to be eradicated!

    Poor guy.
And I can’t even imagine how Sharon must be taking it.
But I know his family will do everything to get him the best care, and hopefully, he can turn it into something good.
Look at Michael J. Fox…he got Parkinson’s and everyone was all sad about it, but look at all the amazing things he’s gone on to do afterwards.
