After a lot of back and fourth, Jason Sudeikis has decided that he is returning to Saturday Night Live. He started hinting he was leaving at the end of last season when his contract expired, but I’m sure SNL did everything they could to keep him with Andy Samberg and Kristen Wiig leaving (and now Abby Elliot). Jason told the LA Times, “I’d like the opportunity to use creative muscles that … haven’t been asked of me for the first nine years that I’ve worked there. It could be some sort of title change. The least of the concerns is anything financial. I’m not buying a boat because of writing skits. It’s more having a desire to give more to a place I really believe in.” -So in other words he’s saying, people are leaving the show and now is my chance to get REALLY big.
Thank God he’s staying, because SNL needs good vets on the show. Plus, who else would play Mitt Romney this election season???
