Jeana Keough: Why She’s Off The Housewives

Jeana Keough is only on three episodes of The Real Housewives of Orange County this season because she had to get a full-time job to pay the bills. She told The Daily Beast, “I just didn’t feel appreciated by the girls or the network,” she said when reached by telephone. “There’s a lot of work that is involved—it’s an all-year-round thing with all of the shooting and the press, and it wasn’t enough.”

I hate to say this because I’m from Orange County, but the Housewives of OC are just getting too old and broke. I’d much rather watch Jersey, or Atlanta these days. True, the OC girls started the franchise, but nothing lasts forever. I predict this is OC’s last season…but I could be wrong.

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

    Oh yes, she’s totally right, it’s “a lot of work” to lounge around eating and complaining about being fat, not to mention letting your kids treat you like a fucking doormat and threaten to stab you to death after you’ve handed them everything on a silver platter. Plus, we all know “didn’t feel appreciated” means “wanted more money”. Wasn’t there a news story earlier this year that Clan Keough hadn’t signed their contracts for this season because they were holding out for more money? Bad move in this economy, I’m sure there are plenty of other bimbos ready to step into her sweaty shoes. Bleh, I’m over them.

    Well, I’m sorry to see her go. She was one of the housewives that I actually liked. At the same time, considering how all of the Housewives are slowly revealing financial difficulties, I hope that she’s quitting the show because she’s actually going to attempt to find some type of stable income. Then again, I don’t know what she’s qualified for, so it’s possible she might merely look for another reality TV position -

    The real estate market bottoming out has finally started to effect the high-end property market in CA, and Jeana said that she was quitting the show to focus on working full-time.

    She was my favorite until she allowed the cameras to capture just how disrespectful her children are to her, and she didn’t even attempt to do anything about it. I can’t imagine how her two sons are going to treat the women in their lives…I feel for any female who gets mixed up with those guys.
