We all knew it was coming, and J.Lo kind of confirmed it. She told Natalie Morales on The Today Show“It’s been on my mind a lot, as you can imagine. You know, I signed on to American Idolto do one year, and … I wound up doing the two years. And now it’s like, ‘OK, do we continue on this journey?’ I’ve loved it so much. I enjoy the show so much. I enjoy just the whole process of the show and the whole thing. So it’s a tough decision either way. But I have to say that there are so many other things that I do, and that I put on hold for that. At the end of the day, whichever way, it’s a heartbreaking decision if I’m going to have to go. I know everybody wants that definite ‘yes’ or ‘no,’ and … all I can let you in on is my own thought process with it, because that’s where I truly am, and the truth is, I love everybody. I love all the guys on the show. I love the family that’s there. Like I said, I’ve just enjoyed it so much. But I am thinking that maybe it’s time for me to go and do other things that I really love to do.” But then she said, ”But then again I really love the show. So…”

I think that means she’s over it, but if they give her an offer she can’t refuse…then, never say never!!! I wonder who they’ll get to replace her? They need some good fresh meat! I think she did the right thing to join the show when she did, but she’s smart to exit because that show is on it’s way down…

Side note: I’m sure Randy will stay on despite rumors. That guy isn’t going anywhere, plus it’s not like he has this huge career aside from Idol. He had a lot of things going on, but Idol is his slow jam, dawg.

**UPDATE** They think it’s a negotiating scheme...and now that Steven Tyler is gone, she may just stick around for the right price. All I know is that money talks.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I would be frustrated as hell too if – despite all my “hard” work – every American Idol winner was a white boy with a guitar. POC and women, why bother auditioning?

J.Lo gets a lot of flack (for being J.Lo, I guess) but her critiques are much more insightful and constructive than Randy or Steven’s. If we have to keep one, I’ll choose her over Randy any day. He can “yo, yo” his ass off my TV screen, thanks.

But what the show really needs to do is some serious slash and burning. Gut the whole thing and completely reformat it, especially the bullshit voting system which should have been capped a long time ago.
