Jenny McCarthy recently decided to part ways with OWN. She had a talk show in development for over a year at Oprah’s little network and because she didn’t like the direction the network and producers were taking her show, she decided to leave. Fox411 reported“Jenny wasn’t thrilled with the direction that OWN producers were going with on the show. She had been working with Oprah and her producers for over a year, developing this project for OWN. Jenny finally decided to embrace Oprah’s philosophy, which is to ‘follow your bliss.’ Well, Jenny followed her bliss and walked right off the project.”

So what did she do when she dumped Oprah? She took her show to NBC. I would not want the wrath of Oprah over my head. Jenny has some serious balls! Now that Oprah is “officially” taking over her network, why didn’t she stop Jenny from going? Some sh*t must have gone down, or Jenny probably waited for her deal to expire and split.

What’s the Big O going to do to save her network? I think the the only way she’ll get numbers is if she revamps The Oprah Show. Sheesh, Hollywood.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I thought Oprah’s philosophy was “If it looks good, eat it.”

    No, wait. That’s Andrew Zimmerman.

I think that OWN was mis-named. It should have been EGO.

Oprah shouldn’t hold her breath while she waits for me to start missing her.

That fat face of hers would get awful blue.

@danielle, I whole-heartedly agree. Let us have time to miss Her. exactly right.

The OWNly show that I was interested in was “Behind the Scenes” which had me hooked but I lost interest even in that show before the Oprah show officially went off the air.
