Jeremy London: Man-Napped

jeremy London man-napped

I’ve been wondering where Jeremy London has been.  He used to be such a hunk, but it turns out he’s been poppin’ pills over the years, and as of last night, he was kidnapped by gangsters in Palm Springs, and forced to smoke dope.  Let’s just start off by saying that I didn’t know that 37-year-olds could be “kidnapped?”  Isn’t there a better term for the action? Like, Man-napped?

Here’s how it went down: The dude was changing his tire, and got man-napped by “gangsters”, forced to smoke dope, buy beer for them, and then hand it out in a “gang” area in Palm Springs.  That doesn’t sound scary, it sounds like a good Saturday night!

I swear, his story sounds like something I’d tell my mom after getting caught drinking in high school.  ”Mom, I swear, they MADE ME smoke weed, and then they forced beer down my throat, it was awful…what bad people in this world, right?  …No, I don’t think you should call their parents, they have enough problems, I’ll tell them I can’t be friends with them anymore when I see them at school…Oh, I don’t know how this dime bag got in my pocket either, they must have planted it there….see?  Bad People!”

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Hey Nads, I love your stuff and I know that you aren’t trying to be mean or to offend anybody in this post, but I have a friend who had this happen to him and it was the most frightening thing that ever happened to him in his life. He really thought he was going to die. It’s kind of like making fun of a rape victim.

If you read the article it says that when they say he was forced to smoke dope, that they mean crack. My friend was also forced to smoke crack and I bet you a million dollars that there is something else that happened that won’t ever be publicized because of the humiliation but it is a tactic used to dominate in prison. Yeah, these gang kidnappings? They use that tactic because many of them have been to prison and they know it is the worst thing you can do to a guy. My friend was not partying, he was held prisoner with drugs and shear terror. They would tell him every five minutes that they were going to kill him, and then described how it would be painful and slow. It was a horrible thing and this sounds EXACTLY like it, only much more tamed down for the media, of course.

I don’t mean to be a downer here, but this was way more terrifying than anybody could even know because of posts like yours. It really demeans and minimizes the terror these guys went through.

I really do have a good sense of humour, and I mean you no disrespect, it’s just that I know how horrible this was for my friend. I have seen him freak out from PTSD and have flashbacks. The pain that he is left is with is overwhelming and yet he has hardly anybody to turn to because of attitudes like the one in this post and the comments in all of the other articles. It is horrible. It is absolutely horrible.

Sorry about the rant. I still like you Nads, for you know not what you do. :)

Hey Cholusindeed! Sorry about your friend! That does sound horrible…and you’re right it’s no laughing matter. I would NEVER wish a kidnapping/drugging on anyone, it’s awful. It was in poor taste to make fun of this story, and I didn’t mean it maliciously…I was just looking at it as another story as if it were fiction–I don’t know why I thought being kidnapped as an adult was funny to me.

    Give your friend my best!

I think he/she wants the second and third posts deleted. Probably posted with Facebook.

Man, I laughed when I read this story on other sites too. Now I feel bad. But you can’t really blame people for not being skeptical at first since celebrities with drug abuse histories have been known to throw out some whoppers of stories when caught holding. I think I read somewhere that he didn’t tell cops about the kidnapping until he was pulled over and found with drugs so makes you wonder…

Hi Nads, yes uglycutie is right I accidentally posted posts 3 & 4 under my facebook account, and I didn’t really want to do that. *slaps head* If you could delete those, I would be ever so grateful.

Man uglycutie, if it turns out that this was a cover for drugs I am going to have so much mud in my face. It sounds exactly like the kidnapping game that gangs do though, so I don’t know, I am going to say that I believe him just because I know how devastated my friend would be if somebody exploited this horrifying situation to get out of a drug charge. I’m keeping my eye out though.

One thing I will say about the not going to the police thing though is that most guys who have been through this don’t. My friend didn’t until months later because of how humiliating it was and the prosecutor said that it was normal and they usually found out some other way, like pictures on gang member’s phones after they had been arrested for something else and things like that. When gangs do these kidnappings, they almost always take a trophy. It’s pretty sick. They have no way of knowing how many this has happened to because so many just try to forget it and pretend it never happened.

Okay, I know I will stop talking about this now. :) Thanks nads and uglycutie!

Yup.My friend once bought beer for gang members after they made him smoke dope.He didn’t have any $ so they gave him the cash to buy it!It was scary because,as you know,it was probably drug money! And he was terrified of going to the store with drug money! They were ruthless when he returned because he bought the wrong kind of beer!So they gave him MORE DRUG MONEY to go back and get the right kind.He was terrified.

Then,to make matter’s worse,he was stopped the next day by the police because he had a terrible time keeping his car between the lines after what he was put through.Lo and behold, those nasty people from the night before put drugs in his pocket and he didn’t know about it!See,that’s how bad these people were. They had no regard for the price of the drugs they put in his pocket! They were out to get him even if it cost them all that drug money!

My friend tried to tell the officer that it was somebody else’s drugs, but the cops didn’t care.So he ended up going to jail as if he was some kind of scumbag. And as you can read from my story, that isn’t the case!

I think the gangs have a special drug reserve for these cases. You know, like a business expense!

My friend continued to pretend like it didn’t happen too.Until he was forced to plead guilty for posession because nobody believed him!

I think there should be a special crime unit for things like this.

    That wasn’t even chilly..

    OK.Things like this may happen.

But as far as this Jeremy dude is concerned,I think he is a liar.

Did you know that he had an envelope full of money that he said was going to be used to get his truck out? The gangsters made him use the money for the liquor. Of course they had drugs, and because as we all know liquor is hard to come by they made him buy the liquor but gave him the drugs for free. They actually forced him to smoke drugs. Then sent him on his way with a care package. All the nicer drug dealers do that I hear.A little basket with a pipe etc..nice bow

Soo,These gangsta’s asked him politely to use the money to buy liquor?
Then because he was so agreeable they decided to be really really mean and force him to smoke something that, btw,he went into re-hab for. What a coinky dink! Those gangsta’s are so intuative.

I think the idiot went out with a bunch of money.CASH btw.Pretended to have a flat in a place he knew he could score.and it got out of hand.He was broke and needed an excuse. He allowed someone to take his car on a run and they never came back.He flipped. He lost though when he said he had a bunch of cash and the people he was with didn’t take it from him at jump street.

Okay, I give up, I just read that Jeremy’s wife was in the car at first and then dropped off? Then people are reporting that he has hung out with the suspect under arrest, Adams, before. AND, to top this off, this was a storyline in Six Feet Under apparently???? Okay, I am very doubtful of Jeremy now. I still won’t make fun of him, just in case, but his story has more than the usual holes.

Just remember that this does really happen to people though, and it’s horrible. If Jeremy is lying about this, shame on him, not just because it is ridiculous but because he is making it worse for those this really happened to.

I agree completely Cholusindeed. His lie’s hurt folks that have indeed been kidnapped. But the part that really chaps my ass is that now someone will have a record of being charged with kidnapping because Jeremy London didn’t have the balls to come clean. What a big wuss!

Thank you Flipit and Nads!! Much appreciated. I think I will have to e-mail you and have that done as I am very flaky with stuff like that. Hahaha. Glad there is that option, thank you so much. You guys rock!

Robin, that’s true, I forgot about that part. IF he is lying to cover his ass then this Adams guy is majorly fucked because kidnapping is a huge felony. They give out life sentences for that!

What a mess. I hope we hear the truth soon.

I don’t think that it will get that far.I don’t think the guy will serve any substantial time for kidnapping. And,though I doubt this Adam’s guy is a great addition to society at this point,it will still be on his record that he was charged with a kidnapping. If he decides in the future that he wants to change his life for the better then he will have a hard time with this on his record.
