jersey shore on strike

The Jersey Shore kids are on strike! According to TMZ they were supposed to start shooting season 3 yesterday, and they told the crew that they weren’t shooting without new contracts. I don’t blame them, I know they don’t have any “real” talent other than fighting, drinking, belching, and screwing, but hey, that’s good TV. I’ll say it again, Jersey Shore revived reality, and put MTV on the map again (after The Hills). And seriously, if The Hills kids can get 100K an episode, the bronzed babes deserve at least half of that.

I would love to be on the picket line with The Jersey Shore kids. “We’re proud, we’re tan, now suck on Snooki’s cans.”

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

This show is doomed to suck. The first season was great trash TV, but now everyone knows who they are, they know they’re famous, and they won’t be the samne nothing and noone around them will be the same. Do you think you’ll have the hilarity of seeing these guys strike out with “grenades” anymore? Season one was catching lighting in a bottle. It won’t happen again. I’m sorry but they’re not worth the money. You could go to any club in suburban NJ, NY, MA or RI and come out with a cast just as entertaining who’d probably be on the show for free.

at this point it’s just entertainment for me. the initial-OMG these kids are awesome is totally gone–you’re totally right about that Jason. But, if they’re bringing the show back, they should get the money, only b/c they pull ratings.

I think the kids should hold out for the money. This Jersey fad is going to die out and these kids will be left with nothing. I hate that the MTV’s of the world make major dollars off these kids who think it will just be cool to be on tv. And then after the lights have gone down and then a new fad comes around they have nothing to show for it. I say milk it for all it’s worth Jersey Shore b/c when it’s over it’s going to be tough to go back and ask for your job at Burger King.

There is nothing so precious about any one of them that can’t be replaced by countless other overly tanned “Guidos” or “Guidettes.” MTV was built on the idea that talentless young people will do anything to be on TV.

The talent to make those morons watchable actually does exist behind the scenes, not in front of the camera. As it is, this show was mostly a one-trick pony that hasn’t even proven it was more than just a quick zeitgeist show that will tank in the second season now that the cast think they’re stars.

And once again, the “piano” goes on strike thinking that without it, there will be no music. Someone should explain to these kids that this is a once on a lifetime paycheck and that 3.5 years from now no one will remember their names or what’s left of their faces.

This faux show must be stopped once and for all. This is one of the reasons for the fall of Western Civilization. Then again, with the likes of Jersey Shore cast we might be heading to “Idiocracy” world. Please stop them from breeding.

Nads, I don’t understand why you are fascinated by this culture? I thouhgt we were friends….

There we go again, intelligent folks likes us worrying about some obnoxious, orange, kids being paid to get drunk, start fights and make out with everyone all the while being filmed. I hope these kids don’t reproduce.
