jersey shore

The Jersey Shore numbers were huge last night! 8.5 million people watched, that’s insane for cable! MTV has landed on a gold mine–big time. I don’t know what it is about Jersey Shore, but I honestly can’t get enough. It’s so damn engaging! I can’t even explain it. I’d love to be a fly on the wall just for one night.

I’m loving Deena on the show, she’s the perfect add! She fits right in. She’s like Snooki 2.0, but in the best way possible.

What did you think last night’s episode? Team Sammi or Team Deena?

In case you missed last night’s episode, you can watch it here.

Here’s the after show recap of the fight:

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

There’s something compelling about this damn show, and it scares me that I like it! The terrible Jersey miscreants did not disappoint, and even The Situation (despite his ‘what’s the situation?’ line) was tolerable for a change. Sammi needs to get thrown off, or gagged, or just slapped by a midget (someone taller than Snooki) and looking at the upcoming episodes, it seems that Xenadrine Ronnie is taking is secreting a lot of estrogen…not only does he get bipolar confused, but a wacking from Sammi…ITS JERZEE TYYYYYYMMMMEEEE…..

Why does one of the guys always insist on pulling Jenni off of Sammi when they get in a fight? For the love of god just let her beat her ass once and for all so we don’t have to listen to her nonstop whining.

The previews for this season look fantastic!

I tuned out at the beginning of season 2. There’s just nothing interesting about these people anymore, now that they’ve joined the ranks of grade z semi-celebrities.

Of course, if they start imploding for real, give me a holler.

Yeah, I’m not sure what is so engaging about this show, but I simply can’t miss an episode!

Sammi needs to wipe that smirk off her face. Seriously, if these girls had a brain (and I think only Jenni has about half of one), and they REALLY wanted to get to Sammi, instead of calling her the c-word, just throw her smirk right back at her, and remind her how A) millions of people saw her get cheated on again and again, B)she kept going back, C)she has single handedly alienated herself from the rest of the females on the show, and D)the entire viewing audience thinks she’s a bitchy, weak-ass punk and E)90% want her GONE!

Again, why do I even care? Like Yuck says, they aren’t very productive members of society, but for some reason, some of us enjoy watching. I eagerly look forward to the rest of the season! Loving Snookie 2.0 but Sammi can’t get out fast enough!

I saw this for the first time last night. I need a little help with the background. Are these guys on summer break from college or something? Do they have jobs and this is just the stuff they do when they’re not working or do they just go to the Jersey Shore for the summer to drink and have sex? And, have they all had sex with each other? What’s the deal with Sammi? Why does she hate the other girls?

I saw this for the first time last night. I need a little help with the background. Are these guys on summer break from college or something?– I think it is “or something”.

Do they have jobs and this is just the stuff they do when they’re not working or do they just go to the Jersey Shore for the summer to drink and have sex? – They work when the show makes them, and they probably do go to just have sex and drink..I know when I was that age it wasn’t out of the norm..

And, have they all had sex with each other?- It is kind like the Keven Bacon thing..they have all had sex with each other without touching lol.. What’s the deal with Sammi? Why does she hate the other girls? – She wants to be an alpha but she is way too skittish. She wants Ronnie to be a girl for her; to take up for her and it isn’t his place.

Thanks Robinez. Maybe I’ll give it one more shot before I make my final decision.

I remember wanting to party and have fun when I was their age, too. But, I had obligations and morals. Then again I wasn’t getting paid skads of money by MTV to act like a total asshole on national TV. They were still playing the “Video Killed the Radio Star” video (or ANY videos). :-)

I love this show and was counting down to the premiere of season 3. It did not disappoint. I like Deena. I don’t like Sammi so Deena already had a leg up in that competition. I’m glad JWOWW punched Sammi, but I STILL don’t think it was good enough. The fight was ho-hum. Same level of meh as season 2′s fight. I thought JWOWW was going to lay her out! At least that’s what I was hoping for. Can’t wait for the next show. The season looks great!!

What’s great about Jersey Shore, was it started off with a bunch of unknowns, picked to live in a house, real world style. They were given a ‘job’ at the t-shirt store and the rest of the time they drank, ‘smushed’, and fought. America fell in love. Mind you, this show aired Dec/Jan 2010, exactly one year ago. And two more seasons were filmed in that time..so now we get to see these kids try to deal with their popularity and the trouble it causes them. In Miami, they filmed it while season one was airing, still winter/spring of 2010. Then they spent the summer filming season 3 in Jersey, without even watching season 2 yet! So, of course, Sammi hasn’t seen footage or Ronnie making out, or the good intentions of the girls in ‘the note’ fiasco.

But, this season, we will watch it all fall apart. We’ll see just how difficult it is for these kids to exist under the glare of the spotlight. Some of them will surely crumble under the weight of scrutiny and inflated egos. They will definitely want to tear each other apart as they compete for airtime which they hope leads to more money in other ventures. As Brian Moylan says, “it’s the greatest sociological experiment of our time.”

I’m Team Neither, they both annoy the crap out of me. At least it was Deena’s first showing and her stock has a chance to rise with me, Sammi’s just a lost cause. WHY does she come back? She doesn’t like to go out and she doesn’t like the other girls. My initial theory was to keep an eye on Ronnie, but then I realized that doesn’t matter; homegirl’s not leaving him no matter what she sees/hears/finds out. So WHY?????

    Still hate The Situation. Blech.

I may be the only one who actually likes Sammi. Jenni gets on my nerves. Gotta love Snooki. Deena annoys me already. I laughed a lot when Deena accused Sammi of laughing at her, Mike tried to smooth it over and Sammi comes back with, “I most certainly am.” I laughed at her drunk flirting with Mike as well.

Deena is even more annoying than Sammi, but she fits in better with the rest of the cast, and she seems to be more laidback (when she’s a few degrees more sober). It looks like Sammi will finally leave Ronnie and the show for good this season, according to previews, so sit tight, people: We’ve only just begun.

To me, it is impossible for anyone on this show, even Angelina, to be more annoying than Sammi. Not because I don’t think Deena, or everyone else for that matter, isn’t annoying but at least they seem willing to entertain me for all the money they’re making living in this house. Sammi seems of the mind that just her lumpen, vapid presence is enough. And it isn’t.

Harsh, vallegirl! Don’t you know that Sammi’s the sweetest bitch you’ll ever meet? (I’d hate to meet the bitchiest bitch . . .)

Team Deena! Sammi complains that it’s “3 against 1,” but when one of the girls makes an honest attempt to be nice, she is just a total c*nt to her. I can’t stand people who create their own drama and then cry about it. Oh, and just when you think she can’t get any more useless, all she does is lay in bed.

Pauly’s also the only one who had a legitimate career before the show and has used the show to advance it, since his appearance fees have gone up and he’s getting himself spun off. So at least one of them actually had ambitions other than to be nebulously famous.
