Jersey Shore T-Shirt Shop Got Hit By Sandy

TMZ posted a picture of the famous T-shirt shop that the Jersey Shore cast worked at, and it looks pretty mangled. The garage looking doors are caved in like two trucks hit them. So sad…

Here’s the pic:

I guess a lot of the merchandise and the display cases got damaged (not to mention the front doors)…so it will be a big rebuild. Lots of memories in that T-Shirt shop.

Anyway, in wake of this news…word on the street is that MTV Executives are thinking about getting the Jersey Shore cast together to do a Hurricane Sandy “clean-up” special. Radar reported, “Even though clean-up hasn’t begun yet in Seaside Heights because of the extensive damage caused by Hurricane Sandy, executives at MTV are discussing bringing the cast of the Jersey Shore back together to film a special…The honchos at the network think it would be a tremendous boost for Seaside Heights as the town begins to rebuild to have the kids be a part of it.”

I have mixed feelings about this…I think it’d be amazing to have the Jersey Shore cast help clean-up the town they helped trash nightly while filming, but I feel weird about it because I feel like MTV is exploiting the hurricane and the tragic path it left behind for ratings. I have to take in account the source that reported it (Radar), so it could all be a bad rumor…

My final thought on this…If they do decide to do a special, they should donate all the proceeds to some sort of SANDY relief fund.  Just sayin’….

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

I really hope the don’t have a telethon. I can’t imagine I’ll be able to bite my tounge if Sammi “the Sweetheart’ picks up.

I might get distracted from the cause is all. ;-)

I’m with you Nads on the mixed feelings. I mean who better than to go and help clean up but the Jersey Shore kids because with out the Shore they wouldn’t have the lives they have now, but the people from the Jersey Shore don’t even like the kids being there.

I agree that if the cast shows up they s/be be donating BIG TIME to help fund the clean up and to help the residents of the community. With the exception of the season in Italy, everything was at the Shore.
But yes Nads–there is the feeling of exploitation b/c the JS crew is famous for being a bunch of
    A%$holes.

But they’re all dirty little hamsters. Do we really think they know how to clean or would stoop to cleaning? All they did at the Shore Store was try to find excuses not to work .
I do think this a great time for them to use their collective powers for good, somehow, someway, but without the MTV cameras. The Shore did make them who they are today, but I just don’t see them as the Harry Connick Jr and Brad Pitt of Hurricane Sandy.

In fact, I’m putting my opinion where my mouth is (or something like that)
    I’m going to email:

Also, apparently there is a rumor circulating that the house was destroyed as well.

As soon I saw pics of the aftermath on the Jersey Shore, I said, “GTL fundraiser in 3..2…” Hats to be cynical but of course they will be at the forefront. I just hope ALL the precedes go to rebuilding Seaside Heights. I’d pay good money to go to a club where Pauly D is spinning and Ronnie is the only one on the dance floor.

Turlte that is interesting I heard the house made it intact.

You go girl! Keep us posted.

Just keep the cast in Time Square with a countdown of memories and ask for donations and leave it at that. I would smack Sammy in her miserable puss if I saw her turning her nose up at helping clean up.

    The local’s lives are destroyed.

@TGirl, I so agree! My first thought was — waaaaiiiiiit a minute. They didn’t “work” when they were filmed supposedly “working” so what would they do now?

Think the producers would have them digging in and cleaning, and clearing and doing things that are constructive? Where’s the draaaawwwwwma in that?

Nope. The whole concept is exploitive if not downright stooooopid.

And donating all the time and money?

    Pbbfffttttttt.

You should tell your company that you need youtube because they have great instructional videos that are useful tools to assist with your duties.

The instructions videos do include Erika from Bad Girls Club “I don’t understand dance” and “how to do the wobble”.

You don’t have to tell them that last part Gypsy.

@Gypsy #7 and SSC #8, after I posted my comment, I saw elsewhere that the house was fine. Who knows????? I was a little worried about possible cootie contamination in the water if the house was destroyed.
I did send my righteously indignant email. Wonder if I’ll ever get any kind of response.
Heh—the Weather Channel guy just said he tweeted Snooki but hasn’t heard back from her.

I think they should stay the F away and just send money to a special JS clean-up fund. It’s the least they can do for the community that allowed them to become famous for being a$$holes.

I also think that if MTV is going to do anything it should be a telethon or a massive monetary donation… not sending the Jersey Shore kids to help “clean up.” Would they actually be of any help or start drinking and then fall over on what is left of the beach? I think MTV owes it to Seaside Heights to help the town that allowed them to film there season after season.
