Jersey Shore To Be Recast

After the current Jersey Shore cast returns from Italy and shoots their Seaside Heights season, MTV will be recasting for the show. US Weekly is reporting, “After this group comes back from Italy and shoots season 5 this summer, that will be the end for them.” The cast has apparently gotten too expensive and there’s become too much hoopla surrounding them. Plus, most of them are getting spinoffs, so what’s the point of keeping them at Seaside Heights? I think the craziest part about the current cast is that most of them came in without a dime in their pocket, and now they have enough money to buy the Seaside Heights beach house.

I think the problem with recasting the show is that there will be too many copycat Jersey Shore-a-bees. And what about poor Deena? She barely just came on the show. I wonder who the new cast members will be? Think they’ll keep it true to the show, with minor changes? Pooki, The Scenario, DJ Pauly E, J-Whoops, Minnie, and the rest of the crew…

**UPDATE** MTV is denying that they’re looking for a new cast.

Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

    I’m trama-tized!! Say it ain’t so. What will Sammie and Ronnie do now that their relationship is not televised?? Oh, the humanity…..
    Did you guys catch Kathy Griffin’s stand up talking about RonRon’s commerical? It was hilarous!

    I would be ok with that if J-Woww & Snooki’s show is actually going to be a show. But there’s definitely a problem with a new cast trying to emulate the old “characters” since they know the reputation of the show now. :(

    thanks @Sassygrl72 – i just hit that update. I’m sure there’s truth to a recast–maybe they won’t recast all of them to keep fans…but i’m sure they’ll be some new members…don’t you think? I mean the housewives are always looking for new casts and the same people show up year after year, so it’s hard to believe Jersey Shore isn’t doing the same.

    The amount of money these guys make is just obscene. I guess we’re kind of to blame for making Jersey Shore and other shows like it popular. They should at least be required to tithe to the New Jersey school systems to offset the damage their antics do to the state.

    This show is still on.I thought they were all getting there AARP cards on selb rehab or working on there movie/book/singing career’s

    I’ve been watching Geordie Shore (just waiting for Big Brother to start again, jeez), the UK version of this shitfest. The Brits almost make me miss the Jersey Shore crew, who for all their stupidity are at least somewhat goofy. The Brits are bitter, nasty, horrible people. Well, not the whole country, just the idiots on the show.
