jon and kate plus 8

Cheating or not, and Kate being bitchy in the eyes of many tabloids has paid off because Jon and Kate Plus 8 delivered 9.8 million last night. That’s the highest ratings in TLC history. It’s crazy because I was such a Jon and Kate fan for so long and didn’t know why it hadn’t caught on yet…well, I guess it has officially caught on.

Secrets to a successful show? Infidelity and a lot of PR around it.

About

Although comedy is her profession, Nadine has accomplished a lot in her young age. She is a national champion black belt, a world-class soccer player, and an avid snowboarder. She started playing soccer at the age of 4, and continued playing through college where she majored in Biology, but quickly realized her destiny was to tell jokes, not to wear a lab coat. So she decided to be funny while finishing her Bachelors Degree in biology and continued on to get her M.B.A. Nadine’s comedy style is much like her athleticism, fearless. She’s made her way up the comedy ladder very quickly, and has become a club favorite at many of the country’s top comedy clubs, including the Improv chain. Performing in the Boston Comedy Festival and being noted as the “one of the youngest and brightest up and comers” and traveling to the Middle East to entertain the troops are just a few of her notable accomplishments. These days Nadine splits time between the stage, a radio studio, her computer blogging, and a television studio. Nadine’s TV, Radio, Writing credits include: national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, Showtime’s Hot Tamales Live, The Skinny: Fat Free News, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, TVgasm, Zazreport, Daddy’s Girls, Jerseylicious, celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio.

Me too. Jon said they started the show to document their kids lives. They’ve done that for 5 years now and it’s obviously taking a toll on their marriage. IMHO they need to get off TV and seek marriage counseling if they really want this to work. Nobody knows what really happened, but Kate’s established as an author and TV personality now if she wants to continue in this direction. Jon shouldn’t have to if he doesn’t want to and it’s not in the best interest of the family. I’ve heard Kate’s got some other family fences she needs to mend, too. Don’t know if I’ll watch faithfully, but I’ll pop in from time to time to see what’s going on.

I have been watching from the beginning and sadly it doesn’t look good for the two of them. I realize there is a lot of editing involved. So much about the show has changed over the few seasons it has been on the air. I think I am done.

As I sat there and watched on Monday-totally hooked in by the media frenzy of the Jon & Kate nonsense, I really felt bad for the kids. It’s bad enough to watch your parents fight, but to have millions see it on TV what a bummer. This has been touted as family friendly TV in the past. I used to let my little kids watch this show. I don’t think I can anymore

Kate keeps saying people want to see her kids grow up. Really?! If they went away tomorrow I am sure they would be forgotten about pretty quickly. America has a short attention span-we would find someone new. It is all just so sad. Money really does corrupt.
