Kathie Lee’s musical, “Scandalous”, about a female preacher, is closing. It’s supposed to be freaking terrible, but that’s not why I’m reporting it. A. Kathie has always gotten on my damn nerves, and B. posting about it means I can post this video starring KL talking about her work like she’s Beethoven.
“Touch what you dream!” ?? Really, Kathie Lee? If you knew the kind of men I dreamt about you wouldn’t suggest that in a family show. The songs and lyrics here are just embarrassing. One of the best parts is her describing a song about a girl who wants to get to do stuff other people do. “Why caaaan’t IIIIIIIIII???!” You know that’s Somewhere Over the Rainbow, right? And “The Little Mermaid?” Don’t drag decent musicals into your web of bad, KL!! You’re terrible enough to stand on your own, have faith!
My fave part is in the beginning, where KL sings while shaking her head like an epileptic at a fireworks show. Just watch the first ten seconds ten times and you’ll have something to make you smile all the way through the holidays.
Cuz you can’t, ok? Now shut up!

Ronnie Karam has been with TVgasm since 2006 , which has given him the opportunity to make fun of hundreds of TV's most loved and hated reality whores. His plan in life was to be Julia Roberts but that plan was stolen by, well, Julia Roberts. He'll get you one day, JULIA ROBERTS!! When not making himself giggle for the gasm, Ronnie performs improv and sketch comedy at IO West in Hollywood a couple of times weekly while using the lovely California days to audition for commercial roles such as "ADORABLE MEXICAN UNCLE". Seriously. He would like to thank Jesus, Buddha and Xenu for the blessings they've bestowed. The writers here are the best around, and he's honored to be associated with them. I heard about this show on NPR. I wanted to see it but I wondered why Aimee’s “kidnapping” would have happened offstage? That’s a very dramatic moment in Aimee’s life. Sorry to hear that it’s closing. I’m going to check to see what kind of reviews it got. Were they bad?
